I live in Chicago and had been looking for a new car. I located Family Hyundai after an extensive search online. I decided to take the trip out to to Family Hyundai and I was absolutely delighted with the sales process, services and personal treatment. I was shopping online for a certified sonata i found family's website. they seemed to be one of the few who sell certified Hyundai. It was a great experience was treated very well. i would recommend them it was a good place to buy a car nice building friendly staff. thanks for all your help.

I agree with most of these review that Family Hyundai are a bunch of liars and thieves. We recently purchased our 3rd car in 5 years from them, this car for our son to travel back and forth to grad school, bought the car in our name (husband and wife) and decided the very next morning, to try to have our son's name on it somehow so that he could start to establish credit. No return phone call from the SalesLADY, a man returned calls for her and flat out refused any kind of help at all saying his hands were tried and paperwork had already gone through in fewer than 12 hours. Further calls to a manager have not been returned. Never again. Think twice people, they take your money and that's it for them.

I went to purchase my new 2009 Santa Fe last week, and I have to say that they were very helpful!! It took me a while to get them down to the price that I was happy with, but, I DID get what I wanted! From the Sales guys to the Finance guy, I received excellent service. Out of 3 Hyundai dealerships, they beat the others by $3900! So, I have no complaints when it comes to Family Hyundai. I am a very happy customer!

Unfortunately, there is not much I can do now but write on this post. I came in to feel like family, but this group is made of no one but liars. I was promised a hitch installation and a full detail with a purchase of a fairly expensive car. When I made the purchase, they started treating me like crap, the appointment was scheduled for two weeks later for the installation, but when I arrived, they did not have the paperwork for the detail and did not have the parts for the hitch (They never ordered it at all). Luckily I had the paperwork. I spoke with a manager and they assured me that they were going to express ship the parts and get it done if not the next day, then the day after. For the loaner (although promised a Sonata) they gave me a worn-down-smelly Entourage, something I would be embarrased to have at a dealership.
Needless to say, nobody called me from there, and when I called, I was told that the parts are not in and to call the day after. I did, but the car was still not ready but the parts are in and the car will be done early morning. It wasn't. The manager I talked to accused me of bringing the car (for my appointment) without making sure the parts are there, and requesting a detail even though I was not supposed to get one (even though my car did not get one as all cars do on the day I was buying the car). Now I will not have the car for the weekend trip i wanted to take.
Again, there is not much I can do, but I wanted to make sure you don't fall into this trap of a place. Good luck car shopping, and stay away.

I was very unhappy with the receptionI received when I visited the Family Hyundai in Tinley Park. First, I was told they hadreceived and processed my application online and even talked to someone named"Katie" on the phone, who told me to meet her at a specific time. When I get there they have no idea about my application and "Katie"doesn't work there,she works at a "call center" for the dealership. After doing the credit application AGAIN, I was told that in order for business to be done, I had to put down 1,000 dollars. Now, I haven't beenshown any cars or anything and the salesman basically said he didn't have anything for me unless he knewI was going to put that down. I had already told him the payment I could afford and hetold me I was not going to find anything to be able to me that. I felt like it was a brush offand he didn't even look at their inventory to see if he had anything to work on with me. Needless to say, Ileft and receiveda VERY gooddeal from Gerald Auto Sales in Joliet, IL, with the payment I could afford and little down. THEY were extremely professional and told me what they could do for me upfront and showed me multiple vehicles I could choose. Family Hyundai seemed very shady in their practices and lacked customer service. I won't go there ever again.

My sister recently purchased a car from this dealership and has the lifetime warranty that includes all scheduled maintenace as long as you keep a sticker on your car with their website on it. I recently had to take her car in for her for an oil change, and was very impressed by their facility. Not only was the operation clean and efficient, they were all very friendly. After the car was finished with its services, they washed the car! FOR FREE. Never have I been treated so well for auto work. My next will be a Hyundai for sure!

PROS: Awesome service, and free if you have their sticker
