It's sad that these boys say they welcome comments and "haters" but they will accuse you of libel if you share an experience and the severity of it.

The fact is- there is a reason the majority of the city doesn't like this place. It's not hearsay or indecisiveness if you follow consumer reporting. That's the point of consumer reporting. To protect the consumer. Anyone who tells you to ignore consumer reporting has a very big secret they're hiding.

Pros: Now we know better.

Cons: Food. Service. Views. Atmosphere.

.

The food is average, and the service is worse. Not only is the service slow and unprofessional, but during our dinner the Owner got into a shouting match with one of his employees. It was embarassing, and completely ruined our evening out. These people have no idea how to run a restaurant.

Pros: N/A

Cons: Where do I start?

We went for dinner after a show at the Theater Building. Convenient location, decent food menu. We did pizza, which we heard was really good there. It wasn't the most amazing thing ever, but it was fine. Full bar, lots of beer on tap, friendly service.

I hosted a surprise birthday party at Joey's. The managers went out of their way to help plan the menu, arrange and decorate tables for our group. The food was fresh and delicious. The chef had baked a fresh birthday cake, very delicious. Stress free entertaining for me & everyone completely enjoyed the evening .

Pros: Fresh Food, Long Island Iced Tea & Fun

.

Some interesting gimmicks going on here, of which my favorite is the all you can eat stone oven pizza night on Tuesday. For fifteen dollars, you can eat a lot of Pizza. The roasted red pepper pizza is great.

I went to their Saturday brunch (which was completely deserted). For $12 you can order all you want off the menu and drinks are just $1 a piece. Sounds like a good deal, but the food was decent at best....nothing to brag about. I've had much better. . it took FOREVER for food and drinks to come out. The service was beyond bad. We rarely saw our server at all and she was SO slow. They screwed up multiple orders. I would NEVER go back there again. even if my food and drinks were free. I would be mortified if I owned that restaurant and my patrons were treated that way. The bartender was also quite rude. Just a bad, bad experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Do not go here, trust me!

Pros: Close to the El, close to other (better) bars and restaurants

Cons: service, staff, food

.

We went lunch around 2pm on Saturday. We were told it was the all you can eat brunch. The restaurant was almost empty. However, it took over ten minutes to get a waiter to our table. We were told we could help ourselves to drinks and banana bread at the bar...but they were out of iced tea and there were only a few pieces of picked over banana bread. The menu says the waiter will bring out hot artichoke dip as an appetizer...we had to ask for it, and even then he didn't bring it until halfway through the meal. I had to track down the host to get him to bring me iced tea to the table. Service was slow, even though the restaurant was empty. The food was OK...definitely nothing special. For a restaurant that specializes in comfort foods, I would expect that they could produce better tasting food than my ten year old niece (but they can't). We were definitely made to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff.

I don't know how it is at other times...and quite frankly I don't plan to find out. However, definitely avoid the Saturday "brunch".

I was in there about a year ago for the $12 lunch special, and have not been back since! I cannot tell you how awful the experience was. The server we had was very flighty and took forever to greet our table and take our order. I think we waited for about 20 minutes for our drinks to come...and then another 20 minutes for our food to come. Our food was brought out in pieces..."Here's your fruitcup." Five minutes later, "Here's your toast". It was bizarre. I had ordered Grilled Cheese and tomato soup, and instead was brought a bowl of split pea soup. When I asked about my tomato soup, the server gave me a look of disgust and told me that he would get the manager. So out walks Joey himself...who tells me that I need to stop worrying about my tomato soup (that they were out of), because there are "thousands of men dying over in Iraq right now...why are concerned about your soup?!?!" ...sorry i asked...i was just looking for the food that I ordered. Anyways, I don't go out to eat to be treated like that, so I am definitely never to return to this place. When the owner is that rude to his customers, I can't even imagine how the place stays in business!!

I took my family here about a week ago. There were seven of us we got seated right away. The ambiance is fantastic, food is great and the service was top notch. A little pricy but totally work it. We had a great time and were well taken care of. Their menu is funny and makes things interesting. I would recommends to a friend and have done so already. Thanks!!

Great food! The meal we ordered was a special and was not on the regular menu; however there were quite a few things that looked good on the menu too. The meal was excellent, but our service was exceptionally slow. We would have ordered dessert, but it took our server about 20 minutes to come back after giving us the dessert menu; and by then we were just ready to go. I would definitely go back, and hope for better service.

I came in with my boyfriend for dinner during baseball season in the summer. They were playing a CARTOON of Charlottes Web on the big screen (only one other small TV by the bar in whole place) for the ONE CHILD in the entire place. They refused to switch it from the cartoon. I am sure the entire restaurant full of adults did not want to see the cartoon. They were rude, had bad business practices, and the food isn't that great. Only nice thing is the bowl of water/milkbones for dogs they have outside.
