I have found Turning Point Dance Studios and Pat a delight! They provide solid dance instruction. They are patient with students and seem to very much enjoy teaching. We have arranged for tap dancing lessons for a group of adult women. Besides learning a lot, we have a fun time while we are there. I found the dance studio fine - many mirrors and bars so that the students can see themselves dance and certainly, adequate space. Pat is an excellent teacher! I would highly recommend Turning Point Dance Studios for dance lessons for children and adults.

This place is a joke. It was decent decades ago when it was the only place around. Its so outdated...as you can see they do not even have a website or even email address. In recent years, bigger and better places have opened up in my opinion that have a fresh style, appearance that Turning Point has not attempted to keep up with. Since then, Legere Dance Centre, DeMaira Dance Studios Inc., and Forevermore have all opened with booming business. I looked into Turning Point when I had my daughter but they are so uninvolved in everything. No parades. No fests. Competitions? Probably not. About a month ago Elmwood Park had a Fall Fest. Literally across the street from Turning Point...and Forevermore performed at it. Elmwood Park Parade kicks off in the circle...think Turning Point had a spot...of course not.Legere...at least has an extension of itself to the Nutcracker performance if students wish to audition. DeMaira Studios...they do holiday shoes and a lot of performing elsewhere with its traveling teams as well. Its just sad what it minimized it self to when you used to hear about them everywhere. I'd like my daughter to get more involved than just a yearly show, not to mention the dance room is realllllllllly smalllllll. Ok for little ones, but older kids, I can't imagine them having the appropriate room to dance. I had just stopped in there and noticed that there was a teacher named Niki there (its posted on the window front)...wonder if thats the same Niki that wrote this last review here raving about the place...ya think?

One of the best places to send your child for dance lessons! This studio has been here for 30 years and has fostered the careers of some amazing performers, teachers, and choreographers. Even if you are not looking for a lifetime of dance, but short term boost of confidence, discipline, and fun- this is the place to go!!
