this was my first time dining at Fogo De Chao (chicago) i would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is a meat lover! they have the best salad bar with a lot of diffrent varietys. we are getting one here in Kansas City and i can't wait, the price is expensive but its well worth it. they have really good mazerella balls at the salad bar and yummy cheese bread they serve you! you should atleasty try everything they brng to you and if you don't like it, the next time they come around flip it to your card on red! they have outstanding customer service. round of applause!

This is my favorite all time restaurant. The quality of the meat, salad bar and service is A1. It is pricey, but worth every penny. When I dine there, I feel as though I am a valued customer, anything you ask for is promptly given. They give all their customers movie star attention. The only thing is I am not sure how the pricing works for children. I see this restaurant more as adult oriented.

We had been to the one in Houston. I was in Chicago for business traveling with a colleague that is from Brazil. He was very impressed. He said this was just like a traditional Brazilian steak house. The meats are all cooked to perfection and the salad bar has fresh top of the line items. I recommend calling ahead to check on availability because this is in downtown Chicago and is very popular.

We splurged and went to Fogo de Chao for our anniversary and we'll definately go back! I say "splurged" because it is pretty pricey, but the food was excellent and the salad bar was the longest I've ever seen with such a great variety on it. It was so cool how the gauchos came around offering the different cuts of meats. A word of advice - this place is not for dieters!

I've eaten at few Brazilian steak houses from the farm lands in Indiana to a few of them in Texas. So far this branch of Fogo is the best. The salad bar is complete. Not all the fogo restaurants have the exact same offerings in the salad bar. The service is top notch. The decor and atmosphere is excellent. Weekends it gets a bit busy so make reservations.

If you want authentic Brazilian barbecue, this is the place. It serves all kinds of meat in vast quantities right at tableside - just like the Brazilian restaurants in Rio. All you have to do is flip a red-sided/green-sided card to get service. If the card is green side up, the servers will keep delivering red-hot slabs of meat until you gorged or manage to flip the card to the red side.
The salad bar is almost an afterthought after eating all that meat. But the salad bar is well-stocked with the freshest, plumpest vegetables and fruit and even sushi(?) around.
Lunch runs a flat $45; dinner about double that amount even though the menus are identical for both times. Great for business luncheons and X-mas parties.

Go for lunch because you'll pay half the price for essentially the same experience. The salad bar is in itself enough to satify a hearty appetite but why waste your time when there's more than 10 different meat selections? Plan on taking the afternoon off after a trip here.
PROS: All you can eat
CONS: Fixed price
