I have had lunch here a few times and dinner twice. Ordered the Shrimp De Jonge three of the times. I know it sounds French but it was the best I ever had (and I make this dish myself at home). The table next to me was impressed and both

I decided to give this restaurant a try, because I had heard it was ideal for older folk and it was my 90 year old Mother-in-Law's birthday. We entered the restaurant and noticed how elegant it was, with soft music playing, and white linen tablecloths. What struck us as strange was there were cheap paper adverts strewn all over the table, which otherwise was a nice setting, with a real rose, and a candle. We were seated in a booth and after about thirty seconds, the atmosphere drastically changed. We thought there may have been a fire that had started in the kitchen, because there was suddenly yelling and the F word was being shouted right through the kitchen door. We sat there with our mouths open in astonishment. A waiter came hurrying out of the kitchen and he had a look of horror on his face. The yelling continued for a few more seconds after that. The amount of swear words was incredible; after all, this is a nice restaurant? I asked a passing waitress if everything was okay, and she smiled and said yes. She would not, or could not, tell us what the ruckus was all about. We decided to stay, hoping it was a one time occurrence, and we had a long day, and my Mother-in-law was tired and hungry.
The wine, service and food were all excellent. The staff was polite and professional, but there is evil lurking underneath the surface. I later found out that the person yelling is the OWNER of this restaurant. And he did not stop his yelling the whole time we were there. As it happened, we were in the booth closest to the kitchen, and heard everything. He did not restrict his cursing to the kitchen, however. He tore down at least half of his staff all over the dining room and bar areas. These employees must have thick skin, or ten hungry babies at home to feed, in order to remain under this malicious man's employ. We ended up eating only half of our meal, and took home the rest. We lost our appetites and tensed up every time this idiot yelled. It is ridiculous that such high quality food and lovely settings must be RUINED by a man who obviously has no heart or business sense with his staff. If you want to have good food at decent prices, order out from this place, but I would not give money to this man under any circumstances. I don't think even Gordon Ramsey could stomach his attitude.

I won $30 gift certificate in a raffle at my mother's church. Turned out to be three $10 certificates, but I didn't think much of it, as normal restaurants (& any business I've ever seen othat offers gift GCs) will let you use multiple GCs.
Never been before but my mother has, & said it was a nice place. I took my mother and sister.
Restaurant was very full due to a huge party taking up most of the dining area. Got seated almost immediately, but had to ask for menus several minutes after, took a while to get them. After they brought menus, 3 people stopped within 5 minutes to ask if we'd been waited on. We had (in the sense that we'd ordered drinks & finally gotten menus; not that we'd ordered, since we'd only had menus 5 minutes).
Our waitress stopped by few minutes after that, & we let her know we needed a few more minutes.
When we'd decided, we set down our menus & waited. About 10-15 minutes later, the waitress rushed past our table & said she'd be right back. Came back few minutes later & then had to leave again when we started to order, because she'd forgotten to bring check w/drink order. We cut her some slack on wait & forgotten check, since it was obvious the place was understaffed.
Food was good.
Slow to refill water. Waitress stop by, we'd ask for refills, she'd come back 15-20 minutes later w/water. Again, we cut her slack b/c she was helping with the hugs party. Although, my mother was unhappy w/slow service by now.
We paid w/GCs & cash to cover rest of the bill+tip.
Waitress said certificates were limit 1 per table. My mother was irked by now & said "Tough" as I said "It doesn't say that" (why limit GCs is beyond me as GCs are same as cash!).
Mgr (Owner?) came out practically shouting "It's not tough! You'll pay this and won't come back!"
And no, we won't be back. Not because of any misunderstanding by the mgr, but because of outright rudeness, and that he made no attempt to discuss calmly, but rather lept to attack immediately.

Pros: Food was great.

Cons: Parking lot not plowed. Service slow. Management extremely rude/confrontational.
