Consistenly Good Food, best in Naperville

by christine h. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,827

I love Indian food and order it out at least once a week. Though my favorite Indian restaurant is in Oakbrook, Cuisine of India is the best consistenly good, reasonably priced choice in Naperville. We've been getting carry-out for about three years now. I'm not a fan of buffets in general, but they always have three or so main entree choices and the food tastes fresh. Ownership may have changed recently and kitchen staff as well, because my good was much spicier than normal the last two times, but it remains my favorite local, convient choice.

The only good thing might be the price

by Bhiku

The food here is not good in my opinion. It is cheaper than most Indian restaurants but you get what you pay for in this case. I have also found the restaurant is not that clean as I would like.

Pros: None

Cons: Bland food (in Indian standards); Not clean

Decent, but expected more for the price

by Missy821

I'd go here again, as the rice was excellent--not just the steamed plain rice you get at most places, but spiced quite nicely--and the naan was decent, even slightly above average. For a main course, I had the chicken makahni and my boyfriend had the chicken tikka masala. The entrees were decent in terms of spices (I like it hot), flavors, and the consistency of the sauce (I like it nice and thick), but my chicken tasted low in quality. I know makahni is made with the cheaper chicken parts, thighs, and I have no problem with this, usually. Here, however, I kept getting large chunks of chewy fat at the ends of the pieces of chicken, leading me to believe that the chicken wasn't cleaned well. My boyfriend liked the tikka masala, but it wasn't the best he's ever had by any means.

Pros: Best basmati rice ever

Cons: Main courses are touch and go

Great, resonable, meal

by esteele10

My husband and I visited for the luncheon buffet. It is great food. The spread is good! Three desserts were excellent. Reasonably clean and okay for a buffet. Lamb curry and chili chicken were good. Butter chicken was the usual run of the mill. Curry was good. Lentil soup was good. The best was the tandoori chicken on the skillet.

Pros: Value

Cons: Kheer

Quiet Place to Eat Indian food

by mnakra

I have never seen a restaurant where people can come enjoy a quiet meal with fantastic food. The lunch buffets have a variety of food every week and is really flavorful. It is catered towards a non-Indian crowd, but is still true toward traditional Indian spices and tastes. Overall, I find the food scrumptious and the atmosphere peaceful.

Pros: Quiet, good food for great price

Cons: Not for a rowdy crowd
