Do not buy animals from Lamb's Farm! They get them from puppy mills and MOST have or will have problems. My vet just told me that they have documented PROOF of 5 puppies that had to be put down in the first 3 months of their lives. If anybody has a similar story please Email it to me. Here is my story that I sent to them with no response, of course..

I have a "Lhasa" we got 4 Christmas's ago and have to put her to sleep. She has had seizures since the beginning and now can't even walk! Her hips and legs have had problems since the beginning. Now her back has caused her legs to be paralyzed. I have spent over $10,000 on her and we can't fix her. How can you sell animals like this? I know MANY, MANY animals have been returned to you, and you keep getting dogs from these horrible breeders/puppy mills. For now you have destroyed the lives of 9 people. Below is a paragraph on your web site. It is a joke! I can't tell you how devastated I am. It hurts SO BAD that I can't do anything to help her. You charge OUTRAGEOUS price for damaged and mixed animals. Not for profit? What a joke!

I wish this Email would make a difference, but it won't. I hope you are all really happy selling animals that you KNOW have or will have problems.

Thanks A Lot. My heart hurts so bad.

Lamb's Farm is a wonderful little place to spend an afternoon. If you're in the northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin area and want a nice drive to a place where you can picnic or have a decent lunch in the restaurant you will enjoy your visit. It's not an amusement park and there is not allot to do but it's worth an afternoon to take small kids for pony rides, train rides, petting zoo, gift shops and pet shop. It's run by volunteers and we have even seen members of the Marine Corps. doing volunteer work here. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing people with disabilities a chance to grow, flourish and produce in a caring environment. I think this is a wonderful philosophy and a learning experience for all of us. Come and visit even if you don't have kids. It's a great campus.

We had hoped to go for breakfast, but ended up going for a late weekday lunch. The restaurant looks like the name, a quaint country inn restaurant on a "farm". Most meals were under $10. Kids meals were$3.99-$5.00 including a drink, applesauce, and fries. My husband got their hamburger which came with choice of cheese, but also offered free extras like mushrooms and bacon. His burger was terrific. He doesn't gush on food usually. I got the salad bar and French onion soup. The soup was very good. The salad bar was adequate with many items in a small space including both tuna and chicken salad. A few of the items (spinach and cucumbers come to mind) were not fresh looking or tasting. The canned pudding was lumpy. We used an Entertainment book coupon without a problem. Remember, many days this restaurant closes at 3pm (open late Fri/Sat, I think).

Be sure to allow extra time to stroll by the other cottage industries on the property. Lamb's farm is a relaxing place with several businesses that support their residents.

Lamb's Farm provides you with many activities, but the restaurant is definitely a must. Food is simple, but tasty. Corn bread is awesome. Very competitively priced. And, everything makes you feel worthwile since you are not only enjoying yourself but helping others. I wish there were more places like this.

PROS: Tasty and worthwile
CONS: Service might be slow

Lamb' s farm is an establishment that help's adults with mental disabilities find a quality of life. Besides the store and bakery, lambs farm has a fun petting zoo for little ones, mini golf, a small train ride, hobby horses, pony rides and a fire truck.
