Possibly the worst experience I had in my life !!!!

by daniel a.

I went in confident that I would get a good offer...WRONG ! I brought in a handheld device, brand new I used it for like a week to try it out I didn't like and so on. I purchased this Item for almost $400 dollars I explained to the dude and described the handheld and told him what it was worth and what I expected to get out of it and he rejected my offer mumbled something to his Co worker, Im guessing the owner and offered me I kid you not, $40 Bucks. I laughed @ their face got my stuff and turned around and walked out...really really bad service...

Good Place to sell gold

by Mike D.

Sold some gold here. They gave me a good price for the scrap pieces. My mom heard how much I got, and then she gave me some of her gold to sell. Once again, they gave me a great price. They even popped out the stones that they didn't want and gave them back to me. I will go here again when I have gold to sell. They surpassed my expectations in the amount of money they paid me, and they paid in cash. Plus, they have free parking in their lot on the south end of the store. The lot is behind a big yellow sign. If you want to sell gold, I would recommend going to Royal. I will go here again when I have gold to sell.

Gold! A-Pawn! Gold! Chicago! Gold! A-Pawn! Gold! Chicago! Gold! A-Pawn! Gold! Chicago!

by Pherdnut

Gee kids, I sure like selling gold at A-Royal Pawn Shop. Anybody else like selling their gold, you know gold jewelry, gold watches, gold cigarette holders gold oh what the heck ever just any old Gold will do at A-Royal Pawn in Chicago Illinois which is in Cook County. It's all about gold gold gold GOLD GOLD GOLD!!!! Did you shop around for the best gold price first? I'll bet you did and for some reason this dingy little shop gives the best deal on Gold in the whole wide gold world! What a GOLDEN opportunity!

Did you write a glowing golden review the way a bad salesperson would with one selling point immediately following another with a fake negative thrown in occasionally for truthiness? Why that's positively golden! Is it as clear as white gold that some tacky SEO firm got paid too much to associate the key word GOLD with A-Royal Pawn and Chicago and took a big golden shower all over the internet with tacky reviews emulating multiple ethnicities? Wow! That's kind of obnoxious and offensive! Take this with a grain of gold dust kids because it's golden advice. Aside from the occasional turn of phrase nobody WRITES in the "character" of their ethnicity.

I just wanted to find the best pawn shop in Chicago for tools man. A good place to buy tools. All I get is bad sales pitches for A-Pawn, and gold. I wish Google removed people from their listings for this BS. Oh wait. THEY DO.

One star for my trouble jagoffs. Not that it even comes close to balancing all the BS you've put out there. And a note to the SEO firm or individual responsible. Hire writers, not salespeople to do your copy and throw in the occasional red herring review that's not about the targeted keywords. That or get into a more honest line of work that doesn't subvert the most important tool on the internet. Have yourself a golden day.

Pros: It's a pawn shop!

Cons: It's a pawn shop.

Honest Pawnshop

by JasonLopez123

I went into Royal for the first time last week to sell them some gold. I shopped the offer they gave me, however, the amount they gave me what nearly double. I once even sent some gold in through a mail offer, and they ripped me off. I sent the gold in, and had no choice if I wanted to sell it. It was sold. Royal gives you a cash offer on the spot. I definitely recommend Royal. Go see the guy named Randy, I think hes the owner. He treated me like a king.

Pros: VERY honest and a parking lot

Cons: Looks a big dingy, but don't let that bother ya!! Service makes up for it!

Best price around, very fair bargaining

by rbuds1113

I compared A-Royal's prices for my gold and diamonds, and the shop owner gave me a price about 40% higher than any other shop. I felt like I was getting my money's worth. I would go here over all other shops.

Pros: Great price, fair bargain

Cons: None

My "Royal" Adventure

by LawChickS

Royal has been my little secret for a while. I come here because I love quality jewelry, but hate to pay retail. They always have something new. If you're a shopaholic like me, you know that an ever-changing selection is like catnip to a Cornish Rex.

The other thing I like about Royal is that when I get tired of a ring, bracelet or necklace, they buy it back from me. Because of that, I am always wearing new bling! It makes my girlfriends jealous!

Royal has free parking. That is a very good thing in the Loop.

I will warn you, it's not Bloomies, and sometimes some "interesting" people walk in there. But, in many ways, to me, it's better than Bloomies. I get great deals on the jewelry I love and I am treated as if I were a rock star. It makes me feel sort of hip and edgy. And, with my mostly mundane life of work, eat and sleep (in that order), I'll take as much hip and edgy as I can get! It's my "Royal" adventure in this great city. Highly recommended!

Pros: Great prices on high quality jewelry, free parking, fun

They pay good prices for gold

by CityGuy8

Went to their Clark St store to see what they would give me for my scrap gold. I got a good price and they did pay cash, as claimed. I took more gold there on a second occasion, and got a great price once again. The place has a lot of flavor. I will go back when I have more gold to sell. I also bought a camera there. It was a medium format pro model still in the box, and I got it for less than half of what I would have paid on ebay.

Pros: They pay good prices for gold, Free parking in the Loop
