There was a sign outside the restaurant saying Best Breakfast in Chicago. Not sure who thinks that. The food was average and overpriced, and the service friendly but inept. Just some of the many places in Chicago with better breakfast include Lou Mitchell's, Heaven on Seven, Wishbone, Original Frances Deli, Ann Sather.

Pros: open 24 hours

Cons: nothing special about food, service is inept

Rated with the fact that it's a diner in mind.

Service- I go here once or twice a week, usually between 11PM-5AM. The same sweet funny woman always waits on me. When I walk in the door she waves and says "Sit anywhere you like sweetie, be right with you." She knows I want coffee, knows I want to know what soups are available, remembers what I ordered last time and asks if I want to have it again or try something new. She's always honest when you ask her if something on the menu is fresh or good. Even when the cheapskate owner took pie out of the dinner deal, she offered me a free desert. This woman is pretty much what makes me give this place a 4 of 5. Her service is a perfect 5.

Environment- Open 24 hours, tables are clean, the usual diner look. Not exactly date worthy, but nice for a late night meal. 3 of 5.

Price- Seem a little steep ($9 for the chicken fingers dinner) but it always came with soup/salad, your meal, fries, another side, and pie afterwards. I'm pretty sure there's no pie included anymore though =( 2 of 5

Food- 4 of 5, typical diner food. Not extraordinary, not bad.

Let me start by saying that the extremely bad service probably overshadowed the whole experience. We were seated promptly and the waitress came to take our drink order. However it was another 15-20 minutes before our drinks would appear and the waitress took our food order. My entree came with soup. The waitress came over and threw down a bowl of soup almost between my husband and I (like she didn't know who was getting it) and it was the wrong soup. Then she disappeared again and despite my husband and I trying to flag her down she did not return to our table until she came with our entrees. I told her that I ordered the other soup and she was just like, "oh, you did"....no apology. I had a roast turkey dinner and the turkey and potatoes were good but the stuffing was far too salty and there was too much gravy all over everything. The menu said it came with cranberry but there was none on my plate and it was impossible to get the waitress to come to our table to inquire about it. My husband had ordered a chicken figngers appetizer and an onion rings appetizer. The waitress brought chicken fingers & fries and a plate of onion rings and charged us for the chicken fingers dinner and the onion rings appetizer. I asked her to just wrap up the correct soup to go and when I re-heated it the next day it was so disgusting that I threw it out. Overall, the whole experience was just bad.

Pros: Onion rings were good

Cons: Food, Service
