1 Stars: Terrible, terrible restaurant (by Dave C.)

I'm an Indian, and I take Indian food seriously, but even my Mexican friend agreed that this was the worst Indian place we've had the misfortune of trying in Chicagoland. Did not meet expectations at all. Shrimp was extremely bland, curries were very run of the mill, service was so-so. All of the characteristic flavors and textures of South Asian food were missing. Avoid like the plague.

2 Stars: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND (by J C.)

The restaurant is nicely decorated with all the glitter and glamour, but its food is not up to par. I went there for dinner one night encouraged byt their rating only to find out the hard way. I ordered the buffet feast which comes with all the basic and specialty menu items. The foods was normal and the curries were alright. The nan was pretty good - but how can you mess up on nan's? Anyhow, having experienced and traveled to many Southeast Asian regions and having had Indian curry and nan from street vendors without any problem, my dinner at Khyber Pass gave way to major diarrhea later that night. Needless to say, I am not going back.

5 Stars: Great Indian food (by Pat B.)

I am so glad I found this Oak Park charmer. It took me a lifetime (and that's a whole lot of years...) to finally give Indian food a try. And boy, was I surprised at how much I loved it! Part of the charm was the quaint dining area and the superb service, but the food was also very good. They have a small but unique buffet for lunch and dinner and they feature some great, authentic Indian sitar music on Friday nights. Stop by this little restaurant and you'll be happy you did!

PROS: Great sitar music, pretty restaurant, convenient location
CONS:

4 Stars: Wonderful Indian Food (by Charlie B.)

Kyber Pass is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in downtown Oak Park.. The Chicken Tikka Masala is great and the Tandoori Chicken is also wonderful. They offer Belly Dancing on the weekends.
