I like going into downtown to eat here. It is set on the main street and so there is always a nice quaint feel while we eat. The food is very good. My favorite there is the fajitas with a corona!

If you're looking for a cheap night out

Have been there at least 5 times this year. Always good food, good wait staff and very affordable. The refried beans are black beans, very tasty; Portions are generous, hot and delicious!!! Thanks for bringing good Mexican food to Plainfield

Dined there on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening. Food was very good, 4 different plates ordered, Fajitas, Enchiladas, chili rellano, chimichanga, all came with rice/beans, all between $8 and $12, overall selection pretty good, friendly host and waitress. Not a large place but we did not have to wait for a table. I would definitely recommend trying here.

Pros: Good Food, Pleasant experience overall.

Cons: There was a weird hum coming from the ventilation system.

My husband and I both love the frozen margaritas and the chicken enchiladas. The tacos are really good as well! The food comes out fast and hot! We've always had good service. It's been one of our favorite places for a long time.

The location of Front Street is in the downtown area of Plainfield off of Lockport Road. It is not a large restaurant, but it has a good ambience to it. You usually never have to wait for a table, even during the weekend. The food is fantastic and you get a lot of it. The best part of the place is the drinks. My wife loves the Cabo Waborita and I get margarita on the rocks with Cabo Wabo (bets tequila in my opinion). For the price, you get a strong drink that tastes amazing. There are two DLP televisions that are always tuned to Chicago sports which is big in my books. The service is exceptional and efficient. Overall, this place has it all for a nice casual meal.

I have gone both with adults and kids to the Cantina and always have a great time.

The food is varied and delicious and the alcohol is generous. The kids menu has lots of choices for the picky and adventurous eaters alike and the adults has an equal selection.

Their complementary chips and salsa are right up there in the top ten of my favorites and the service is always great anytime.

This Mexican restaurant overlooks the Plainfield village park downtown. It has a bar and is on the corner with many windows to see passersby. The food and margaritas are good. The prices are affordable. This place is also kid friendly.

While I am very excited to see beautiful downtown Plainfield revitalize with restaurants and shops....this place needs to step up its game. I love, love, love good Mexican food, and this ain't it.
On my last visit with friends, I felt like we should have gone to Taco Bell and saved ourselves about $10 a plate. There were 5 of us dining and the feeling was universal. Main dishes were so-so at best. The sides were truly awful. Come on, how hard is it to make refried beans and rice ?? The beans had an almost metallic taste, the rice was dry, crumbly and bland.
We ordered strawberry margaritas, very syrupy and artificial tasting.

PROS: They have a bar and passable nachos
CONS: the food
