I was so happy to see this restaurant on Insider pages, because I really wanted to review it! I lived right down the block from here at one point, and this is the sort of place you really just walk by and never visit. Well, I am here to tell you NOT to walk by--GO IN! It may just become one of your favorite Chicago restaurants! The food, every time I went (which was a lot!) was GREAT, and I also recommend the Vietnamese coffee--delicious! It is located RIGHT next to the brown line, so you don't even need a car to go here. And you must go!:)

Although the Ravenswood neighborhood is not close for me, Siam Country is one of the few reasons I will travel to the North Side. The yellow curry and potato dish is incredibly yummy! Small but very comfortable restaurant.

I've tried all of the Thai places in and around Lincoln Square. This place is by far the best and now my mainstay. The Thom Yum soup is addictive and all of the dishes I've had are fantastic. They accommodate my boyfriend's vegan requirements without a problem because most of their stuff is made fresh to order. The fact that the owners are so sweet and friendly makes it all the better. In short it's exactly what I've been looking for in a neighborhood Thai restaurant for over a year.

Pros: Food is always fresh, low oil content, convenient to el and to walk to

The place is small. The menu is small. It's BYOB. The couple who run the place are very friendly.

The portions are average, perhaps on the small side for some. You can get your food made "Thai spicy", which basically means that it'll knock your socks off. I like that! Bottom-line, their food has more flavor than other thai places that are in the same area. I live in the area, and this is place I frequent, vs. the other two that are also within walking distance.

Pros: Made to order spicy; Friendly

Cons: No alcoholic drinks available; Small menu selection
