I graduated from Lindblom and my now my son attends.... the majority of the staff is caring which is hard to find in a public school. Mr. Mather is an outstanding leader that believes in his students. My son is not only receiving an excellent academic education but is also building a strong sense of self.

As was mentioned, when this school was Lindblom Technical High School, it was the 2nd top high school in the city of Chicago. Before Whitney Young and the other schools... The top two high schools in the city of Chicago were Lane Tech, which was number 1 and Lindblom Technical High School which was number 2. The school suffered from it being in a bad neighborhood, as well as the drop in student enrollment. They even considered closing Lindblom. From what I understand, the school was even relocated for a while. It was later decided to re-open the original school under the name of Lindlblom Math and Science Academy and get back to the basics of teaching math and science. I hope they succeed. A lot of doctors, attorneys and very successful people who could only afford a public education graduated from this school. Dr. Ahern was a great principal and the teachers were very proficient and dedicated.

I attended Lindblom Technical High School (now Lindblom Academy of Math and Sciences) from 1977 - 1981. The quality of education I received prepared me for attendance at and graduation from one of the top 10 universities in the country as well as one of the top 15 graduate programs in the country. Those with whom I graduated are some of the most successful people I know, with careers in medicine, law, architecture, theater, education, computer science, and the like. As I prepare for my 30th class reunion, I look forward to continuing the friendships that I have maintained over the years.

I attended Lindblom from 2000-2006 from the 7th-12th grade. It was a wonderful experience. I have a family outside of my family that is deep and strong and the bond and friendships I have made while there is everlasting. The teachers are passionate about their students and often challenged us beyond our horizons. I was well-prepared for college when I graduated at the top 5% of my class in 2006. Not to mention our graduation retention rate in my class was 100%, you cant beat that and that's what I call QUALITY EDUCATION!

I wouldn't recommend anyone sending their children to this high school. Leadership fails to maintain staff that can provide quality education. School test results are usually below average and attendance is a great issue there.
