I took my Frenchie in on an emergency basis, otherwise we have a family vet he normally visits. When I realized he was bleeding from his mouth I called their office and they were about to close for the day, but they allowed me to bring him in. So I got there and the Dr. saw him immediatly and I nearly fell to floor when I seen that my Gordo had punctured his cheek and it had become infected (he has a tendency to chew on things when he is in the yard- and when I try to take it from him- he bolts, so now the trick is to let him roam free with a leash on in the fenced back yard). The Dr. opened Gordo's mouth to show me, and I am not one who can handle the sight of blood or needles, so instantly I felt sick and like I was going to pass out. The Dr. was a little rough at first which worried me but then again Gordo wasn't trying to participate either. After he cleaned up Gordo we went to the lobby to wait to go over any paperwork. I felt like I was going to pass out and the Dr. seen that, so he brought me a cup of water and a cold wet towel and placed it on my forehead. I was not expecting him to take care of both owner and pet, it was so kind. I really appreciated everything he did for us. So he diagnosed the problem and gave me some meds for Gordo which worked wonders within a 2 week period. It was pricey but so is my family Vet and he is right down the street, so it worked out great. Gordo felt comfortable there and with the Dr. and that was all that mattered to me. On our follow up visit the Dr. made sure everything had healed up and sent us happily on our way. I will be back to visit them again soon. Hopefully never under those circumstances though, :)

My animals have been patients of Drs. Martin for over 22 years. I trust them wholeheartedly with the care of my pets. They have always been so caring and compassionate and I can't imagine what I would have done over the years without them. Several times they saved my pets lives and for that I am forever grateful.

I know that they not only treat my pets, but care for their wellbeing as well. I remember Dr. Martin tearing up when we had to put one of my dogs to sleep and I remember thinking "what a great person."

Midlothian Animal Clinic is available to help aid in the care of your animal. I have taken my cats there several times, however I thought the prices were a little high. Also, when my cat had bowel movement problems, I did not think the vet gave me detail information on how to correct the problem. So I decided to try another animal hospital.
