In Lake County I think Bill's holds the record for being the best for pizza and beef dip sandwiches. Love the place.

Great old-fashioned pizza place/bar. This is a better place for New York style thin crust, which is some of the best around. Young kids love being able to eat peanuts and throw the skins on the floor.

This place has not changed since I've been coming here the last 20+ years. I live about 35 minutes away and I've still ordered my pizza here for take-out service.

If you have kids you must take them here. The inside is filled with stuffed animals (taxidermy, not the toy)all over. Everything from fish, fox, to bear and deer. I was amazed as a kid, now I watch my kids gander all over looking at the different animals.

The floors are made of hardwood and each table gets a free baskets of peanuts. It's a must to crack the peanut and throw the shell on the floor. You can't do that at home kids!

There is also a small game room the kids can play in while waiting for dinner to come to the table. To be honest, I have only had their double decker pizza. I don't think I've ever tried anything else. It's what they are known for and it tastes yummy.

This is a fun family place. There are peanuts on the table and they encourage you to drop the shells on the floor. The pizza is so good. You can get deep dish or thin crust. Or, their best is the double decker pizza, one pizza baked on top of another. It is very good. The place is extremely causal and can be loud. But it is fun, inexpensive and good.

Great crisp pizza with all the salted in the shell peanuts you want for free! Also has real good beers and a nice "homey" atmosphere! Italian beef is good and very big for the price.

My husband had told me about this place for 25 years and awhile back we went up to Mundelein to see his sister and I finally got to see it but MOST importantly I GOT TO EAT THERE. IT WAS THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER ATE. The atmosphere was great and it is family friendly, which is great. We had several different kinds of pizza and they all where excellent. If you go there and you want the best pizza go there cause THEY GOT IT. They have large tables to sit several people too.

Pros: Great prices-, value, family

Cons: crowded, could be bigger

I fly back from California at least 6 times a year for personal/business reasons. As soon as I am picked up from the airport, I head straight to Bill's for a some floor-bound peanuts, a frosty mug of beer, and a few slices of double decker pizza (if you can eat more than a few slices, you are a trooper!!!). Living in SoCal, you cannot find a good slice of pizza, so Bill's will ALWAYS be my first stop when travelling to the Chicago-land area. :)

The ambiance is great. Where else in chicago do you get seated with a basket of peanuts you can drop shells all over the floor, while you stare at the wide array of animals on the walls. Bill's defines the phrase "family pub". Just make sure you order extra sauce on your pizza... Bill's doesn't put much on.

...they're already stuffed! Everything a cheese-head wannabe could ask for. Once you get over the extreme quantity of knotty pine and taxidermy, order a pizza (don't be afraid, get the double decker), get a beer, put a buck in the jukebox. Then just sit back eat some peanuts -- don't forget to throw the shells on the floor -- and relax. The north country doesn't seems so far now, and besides, maybe the Packers are on the TV. The pizza really is very good and if the weather is nice maybe you have it wrapped up and you take it down to one of the picnic tables next to nearby Diamond Lake. A little bit of the "land of sky blue waters" in the greater Chicago area.

Pros: funky, yummy, double-deck

Cons: knotty pine, lotsa trophies, Norman!

A great pizza, with outstanding fresh ingredients. Feature the traditional thin-crust, or try the "double decker". Much better than a stuffed pizza.
