I recently misplaced my keys and had to call the management company. Needless to say, I was quite distraught but Sue, our contact, was very helpful and understanding. I was able to drive to the office and immediately get a replacement.

This is a shame that a company like that is still in business. They just want you to pay the money and since I moved in to my place association price went up already 3 times, so pretty soon it will equal my mortgage payment, besides they late with the monthly statements, how you expect me to pay by due date - 1st of the month- if you sending bills on 30th, and by 4th or 5th i still don' have it, and after that I'm receiving 50$ dollars fee because my check is not in their banank account at 7th. If that's the way of doing business here shame on you people from First United Mortgage

This is a shame that a company like that is still in business. I am very unhappy that our Condo association is being "managed" by First United Management.
They are unbelievably unresponsive to phone calls. I wanted to install new windows and patio
door and called to get a copy of the guidelines. It was difficult to get a response and even more difficult to
get written guidelines. When I faxed a release form to First United I never got a response. A week later the
sales rep from the window company calls to report that First United called to say they made a mistake
in signing the release form. I called First United several times and left messages. A week later I sent a scathing fax threatening that our condo board should seek out a new management company---I finally got a phone call. But no apology. This company does not know how to provide customer service. Avoid using this company.

They are unbelievably unresponsive to phone calls. I wanted to install new windows and patio
door and called to get a copy of the guidelines. It was difficult to get a response and even more difficult to

We are pursuing action against this lousy company. Our bank is looking into a shortage of funds, and I'm sure they will be contacting the authorities. Mark Maute will be going to jail, we are sure. He will look good in orange! His lack of ethics has led him here, and he simply isn't going to change.

FUPM have been audited for embezzling funds from Yorktown Green Condos. Approx. $29,000.00. Mark Maute used to collect their laundry money, they have sinde fired his company. Miraculously, the Association shows a profit of $500.00 since he stopped collectiong monthly. Guess no one was doing laundry til he left. Yorktown Green was going to file a suit against FUPM, but since it would have cost them upwards of 20 grand to retrieve their money, they just fired him. Now you know how he can afford that fancy car he drives. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They are bad news & thieves..............

I do not recommend First United Property Management to ANYBODY. I moved in to a condo in April ? in May I noticed that the balcony above me was leaking and make a water mark and a split in my ceiling. I called to have it fixed right away. My ceiling promptly got fixed in JANUARY.

Worse than that, I am a 23 yr old female living by myself in this condo and I am being harassed by someone who randomly shows up at my FRONT DOOR, because our security door does not lock. I also called about this issue in May and nothing has been done yet. I called them back to let them know about the harassment and how I would appreciate if they send someone out to LOCK the door that is supposed to be locked, (for the safety of its residents) and still no returned phone call and the door does not lock, the person harassing me still shows up at my door. You?d think with this instance (Fully explained to them in COUNTLESS voicemails) would be fixed due to being harassed. But no ? not even a returned phone call. So glad to feel so safe in my OWN HOUSE.

UPDATE: I had to file a police report for my stalker who wanted me 'rapedd and murdered' so the police called FUPM to see if they could get them to lock the door, you think they fixed the door then? NO. Didn't even call me back.

I guess First United is really trying to move up do to their poor reputation of unethicalness. They now have their own website to drum up more business. I cannot see how, when they cannot attend to the business they already have! What is up with this?!

They are awful. They do not know how to return phone calls; they raise assements and do nothing for the money the owners pay and the board members that live on the propery do not care. I wish I could find a job, get paid, let alone do nothing. They say one thing and do another. I cannot see how a company like this can stay in business and then have the idocidy to create a website saying how great and professional they are.

There staff is VERY UNprofessional. They do not even know how to answer a phone and lie. Needless to say their staff is very low entry-level. Yet their website indicates they are above entry-level. I don't think so. I would suggest just walking in the office and you will see that it looks like a fly by night outfit. They have robbed me blind.

My point is be aware of these people due the the fact they violate your RIGHTS as a homeowner. All I have to say is, "Be on the lookout for their so called "wonderful, professional service."

I have been living in the Newport Townhomes for the past 10 years. I have had the misfortune of knowing with Pam Weisler on a few occassions. I agree that when you call on a legitimate complaint, you can never reach her and she will not return a phone call. I'm currently paying $140.00/month for association fees and it doesn't cover anything (of course they tell you that it does). They don't do anything in the winter, I shovel my own snow from the driveway and sidewalks and basically get plowed in from their bobcat. They don't do anything noticeable in the summer, I have to take care of my own yard if it is to look decent. It's ridiculous what they send out representing a budget...they ought to be completely ashamed of themselves. I also find it very odd that nothing is ever covered by them when something goes wrong around the place like gutters and such...there have been many instances in the neighborhood where the homeowners insurance company and the "association" cannot come to terms on who's responsible for repairs.

The bottom line with Pam, is that she just doesn't care what goes on as long as she receives her monthly dues. Why should she? She lives in Indiana and our property is in Carol Stream, IL...she doesn't have to live here so why does she need to worry about it? She visits whenever there is a "board meeting" (which happens to be a complete joke) and does nothing.

Do yourself a favor, look for ANY property that is not associated with First United or Pam Weisler...and next time, I'll be sure to check out any "board meetings" (and results) before I settle into another property.

if you are to buy a property managed by them, DON'T. save yourself lots of headaches, they will empty your bank account! Back on SEP-2005 FUPM set a special ssesment for $2000 per unit (there are 32 units @ Cambridge Cove) to redo parking lot and replace intercom system. They sent me me a letter a day before they actually started to replace black top parking lot. Intercom system has never been replaced. Needless to say that the parking lot did not have to be redone, I mean it was fine.
I called Pam Wiesler--Area manager from FUMP to find out about this $2000.00
special assesment and she told you have TWO YEARS TO PAY IT OFF. Eleven monthts later, they changed their mind about the two year term to pay off the $2000.00 assesment. They sent me a letter stating that I had 5 Days to pay off the oustanding balance, Which was $1066.00 I called PAM WIESLER @ 6304954466 x206 AT least 20 times and left lots of messages and NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS. Now First United Man. Property has handed the case over to their attorney, and they are charging me attorney fees and Pam Wiesler denies having heard from me. This is after she told told @ least 3 times to not worry about it, that I had 2 years to pay off the debt. I have been making payments on special assesment from day one, I have not ignored it at all, but they are treating me as a deliquent. I went to a meeting about a month ago they want set two additonal assesment: One to replace gutters and another one to replace front door. Not to mention that they just increased the monthly assesmnet by $30.00 and they failed to notify the owners about this increment. They are in red numbers and trying to survive at the expense of others. Report any violations of the law to State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission.

They never return calls or e-mail. They flagrantly abuse thier power to issue and enforce thier "rules". I am a single person who owns 2 cars. I drive one in summer, one in winter. Ipark the one I am not using on the street outside my unit. Thier rules state a car will be "sticker-ed" and if the car is not moved within 72 hours, it will be towed. They towed my car the same day after putting a sticker on it while I was at work! It cost me $300 to get it back. They abuse thier authority because you have no recourse. In 2 years of living in Lombard, the number one reason for moving from our townhome in the area that FUPM manages... is FUPM! They are completely 2-faced and will say they allow one thing, and then send a letter saying that it is not allowed!

1) Got a violation letter about having a fence in my backyard because I had a houseguest who brought a portable 7x7 playpen out back for one day. Which is clearly not a fence and falls under the allowed privaleges of not having any "permanent" structures installed.

2) Got their permission to install a satellite dish and the paperwork to prove it. They clearly state that it could be placed on the back half of the roof, hidden from the curb side. Our installer did just that. nearly 1.5 years later, we get a letter stating that satellite dishes aren't allowed.

3) A not-so-friendly-neighbor complained because our dog got out "once" and excitedly jumped on them, causing absolutely no harm. So we get a violation from FUPM based on their word that the dog is "left outside for long periods without a leash, and always barking while outside". Our dog rarely makes a sound, regardless, barking is what dogs do.. so long as its within the county law for allowed noise levels during appropriate times, there is no valid complaint here.

That is just a few of the ridiculous violation letters they've sent. And after many attempted phone calls, I finally wrote the area manager a letter describing in full the circumstances. No response. I would suggest any subdivisions looking to use FUPM as their management company turn and run far away quickly if you want the value of that area to go up.

FUPM is currently my property management company for my association. The company is only as good as its owner. The owner does not return calls so hence for the most part, the employees don't either. If your considering employing FUPM for your property management needs, stay away!

I contacted them since they are the management company for the property I presently own to find out who the builder was since I am not the original owner. First they told me they didn't know, then they said the builder contracted them, and then said the builder didn't contract them- all in the same phone call. Overall, I felt the individual I spoke to was saying just about anything to get me off the phone, that it wasn't at all his responsibility to answer the question I had, and was nothing but rude. I thought it was a simple question that a management company would know and at the very least answer honestly and professionally if they didn't.

They NEVER EVER return your calls. EVER! I actually held with his sectreary for 1 hour and 27 minutes and he finally answered and said, "Boy you're persistant." And then never followed up with my request. Their management services are disgraceful. I would never recommend anyone moving into their properties.
