This Pizaa has the charm of super great sauce in combination with awesome flaky thin crust. Their sausage is a special sensation that can't be explained\r\nin earthly words here. If you have not tried Ach N Lou's Pizza you have not traveled the suburbs of Illinois or were not told of the secret powers in their sauce. \r\nDo yourself and friends a favor and have them take the drive with you out to the Greatest Pizza on Earth.\r\n\r\nScott n Anthony knows !!!!! :) :)

This family owned pizza pub has been a favorite place of mine since I was 12 years old. We used to meet there after football games in high school and I love this pizza so much that five of my girlfriends and I still meet there once a month for girls night out. There is no gimmicky atmosphere just really good pizza. The staff of whom some are the same as 23 years ago, are always very friendly and recognize us every month when we come in. The restaurant is a great place to have a party or family gathering, in fact I had my rehearsal dinner there ten years ago. There is no pizza quite like it and it always leaves you wanting more. They do sell frozen pizzas that you can take home and bake in your oven but to experience the true flavor of the best pizza in the burbs you have to let them do the cooking for you. Next time you have a craving for pizza I would highly recommend trying Ach-N-Lou's and if you stop in on the first Thursday of the month I just might see you there!

I have been going to Ach-n-Lou's since I was a little girl. There is a taste to their pizza that I cannot place. I simply call it ""The Taste"", and I LOVE IT! I had moved away from the Chicago area for a few years, and no one makes pizza like sweet home Chicago. Why they even bother to try, I'll never know. I've recently moved back and Ach-n-Lou's is still every bit as great-tasting as I remembered. I was VERY excited to see that they now offer an ultra thin crust. This crust is crispy and perfect and I hope they keep making it. The only problem I've found with them is that I have to tell them to cut my pizza into squares. Something I'm use to doing out of state, but not in the Chicago area. (For some reason, I HATE triangle-cut pizza. Unless it's deep dish or pan, it should be cut into squares). The location is a bit undesirable, the parking is non-existent, and I wish they'd offer a more extensive drink menu, but I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the pizza. It is EXCELLENT, and no matter how mad I was about receiving triangle-cut pizza . . . I'll keep going back again and again. They're worth making sure I remember to ask for square-cut. If you want a good pizza, you can count on Ach-n-Lou's. They taste the same every time. No surprises, and that's a wonderful thing!

Pros: Fantastic ultra thin crust pizza

Cons: Parking, location, not enough drink options on bar

I have been going there my whole life with all of my family all of my friends as well. I have eaten all of the top rated chicago pizza and this pizza blows the competition out of the water. The only reason for the lack of recongnition is the distance from the down town. It is a quick 35 muinet drive from down town in the west suburbs. This is chicago's one and only pizza place. Anybody i have recomended it too will agree with me and they all go back as much as possible. Our good friend Ach of Ach and lou's just passed away last week he was one of the best ingredients they could offer.
