I visited this place with my brother. We always order margarita because it always the best ever. They have also a variety of food. The place is always cool and clean.

It was a Sunday afternoon this summer. I shopped at a local boutique nearby, then with a friend strolled into Adobo Grill, as I had done on other occasions, to have a Margarita -- which is quite good.\r

Adobo Grill hs excellent tableside guacamole and the usual mexican menu with a little flare. The food is very good, but nothing stood out as memorable. The Sangria was good.

This place is great! I'm a huge avocado fan and I loved the fresh spicy guacamole that they made in front of me. Adobo grill is delicious and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I almost do not want to leave such a good review because then it will get too crowded - but seriosly this is the best margarita I've had in this city so far. We've only tried a few appetizers, but the service is always great and what we've had has been wonderful! We're going back for a full dinner real soon!

Adobo grill offers really solid gourmet Mexican food. I've never ordered anything I haven't really like. Sure, the food isn't going to make you cream your pants, but it is reliably tasty. And, of course, they will make the guac right in front of you!

We experienced a very expensive but lackluster dining experience Friday Jan. 18th at the Lombard Yorktown location. Very very expensive for the small portions. Taste was nothing special either. Better off almost any other restaurant. Will not return. All 4 of us were VERY dissapointed.

Adobo is a great place to start off the night. Great guacamole, tasty margaritas, good food. It is a festive place that is a step (or two) above your typical mexican joint. The tequila flights amke for a fun evening as well-- be careful! Great place for groups.

I was told they have the best guacamole before I went, and I have to agree it is the best I have had. As a plus they make it fresh right in front of you. The tortilla soup was a little spicy but very good. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meals. Good drink selection too. If you are planning on going to Second City for the night I suggest eating dinner here.

I love this place. The margaritas are to die for, and the tableside guacamole is the best. The portion size is just right, and the restaurant has a unique take on typical Mexican food. So good!

We are frequent diners at Adobo and find the food to be very tasty and fresh. Typically we will just order a bunch of the app's and some spicy gucamole and skip the entrees. The appetizer menu is large with great variety and interesting items that you don't find at most Chicago Mexican restaurants and the portion sizes are great to share. This makes for a great, fun meal for lunch or dinner and of course you must have the margaritas. One of the freshest in town. Try it, you'll like it! It's not just tacos, burritos and enchiladas at Adobe Grill! Desserts are quite tasty too if you have a sweet tooth.

Portions are small and the mole with roast pork WAS rubbery as someone else mentioned and the sauce was SO bland!!! The wait staff seemed preoccuppied and they didn't check in with us as often as they should have - almost rude. I'm not running back there, but too bad cause the decor is way above average.

Everything tastes good at Adobo Grill. You get a taste of some authentic Mexican flavors for a reasonable price. The best thing there is the guacamole, made fresh to order and you determine how spicey you want it. Also go for the margaritas which are amazing! Not very many vegetarian options but still worth it for some great tastes.

That's what I said to my girlfriend as we got up to leave Adobo Grill last Saturday night. We had heard mixed reviews about this popular mexican spot on Wells, and were eager to see for ourselves. Adobo is a very nice looking establishment as it captures the "Authentic Mexican" theme well. Our meal started off on a high note, the famous tableside Guacamole is quite tasty, and the margaritas are very good, however the entrees leave much to be desired, especially since they are close to 20 dollars a plate. While the fresh Guac and margaritas are tasty, the novelty of our waiter shaking and pouring our drinks at our table, wore off rather quickly. If you must come here, sit at the bar and noche on the Guac while sipping the margaritas. My girlfriend and I, well we took a look around, because we wont' be going back.

Go to Adobo for the margaritas and definately the guacamole but leave before the entrees. We found entrees we ordered to be lacking in flavor, uninteresting and small. The empinadas were covered in a mole sauce that might as well been gravy, my dining partner had a pork dish that he described as "rubbery" and was just a few thin pieces of pork and a spoonful of beans. We were seated in a crowded room right by a door that waiters were continulously using. Overall, the restaurant started out fantastically and turned into a big let down.

As a Chef and restaurant owner, food is the best part of my travels. The food here is on the mark. Authentic, flavorful and unique. The margaritas shine! I don't know who thinks that this is expensive. The margs, tequila and certainly the food are very reasonably priced. Try Frontera or Chilpancingo if you want expensive. The staff is well informed and gracious.
As someone who lives and breathes Mexican everyday, my hats off to these guys.

Being from San Antonio, I am a margarita and mexican food connoisseur. This is probably my second favorite place to go for margaritas in Chicago. Ceasars is the first. (Ceasars is the better value. Just one there and you'll be loopy.) Adobo has incredible tasting margaritas for $7, but you'll probably need 2. Too, Adobo uses high quality tequila in their ritas. The food here is also better than average, with more than the typical enchiladas and fajitas on the menu. Atmosphere is good too. You won't be disappointed if you've never been here before. The guacamole alone will be enough to impress you. It's the best I've ever had.

Adobo Grill, as well as many restuarants in the Chicago area, is the "place to be seen" in the neighborhood. It is well overpriced, the margaritas are just okay. The best thing about the place is the guacamole.

Again, it's okay for a neighborhood hangout - but there's much ado about nothing!

Went with a group of 7 (including one child) w/o reservations on a Sunday evening. Quick seating & excellent service set the tone for a very pleasant evening. Dishes ordered ranged from rice/beans to goat to vegetarian enchiladas. All dishes were generous, well-prepared, and tasty. My three-year-old daughter devoured her spaghetti with red sauce (unusual for her), and when I tasted, I found it was perfect (flavorful, not spicy, slightly sweet) for a small child. Lots of attention to detail in sauces (fresh tomatillos in the verde sauce) and sides. The chocolate tamal was to die for!

Adobo grill does have great guacamole. it is made tableside and it is fresh and delicious. it is only one avocado and primo priced at $7-8. dishes are pretty good here-it is upscale and portions arent large but prices are high. it does have the most extensive selections of tequila anywhere. very crowded almost all the time it seems.

The guacamole was not served tableside and consisted of only one or two avocados. The portions were very small and terribly overpriced for what they were. The servers were rude and unnecessarily rushed the early evening meal. Homemade tortillas are made from corn not flour and like the appetizers and entrees, these tortillas are tiny. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Went to Adobo Grill on Saturday night with friends. Everything was good, but by no means great. The exception to that was the fresh made guacomole. Entrees were good. I had the pork tenderloin with a dark mole sauce. The pork was very tender and the sauce was good. The spinach served with it was very good. Overall, I would recommend Salpicon over Adobo Grill. Atmosphere was nice and service was prompt.

Adobo packs them in with its festive setting, lively bar and creative menu. Almost everyone starts with the guacamole, which is made tableside, down to the pitting of the avocado. The ceviche is first-rate, and the ensalada de jicama is…
