I am writing this review in response to hotairballon's review and just because I love this place. hotairballon, I found your review to be rather silly and petty. Does it really matter that the clinic is a bit small? The examine rooms are clean and large enough to do procedures on pets. The fact that you were appalled by the "goodwill" furniture in the waiting room is a bit ridiculous to me. Its a waiting room not a martni bar! You dont go to the vet for ambiance, you go to receive treatment for your animal. ITs also ridiculous that the "70's" chairs were not to your liking. Again I you are not a Capital Grille it is a vet office! They fact that you were jealous that the vet greated your pet before you really amuses me. If you ae truly that self centered maybe you should not have an animal. And the fact that the college aged kids offended you makes me think that you are possibly a miserbale middle aged woman that is jealous becase your 20's are now long gone. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially compared to the VCA. Most importantly the care they provide is outstanding! My cat was keep alive for a long time even though she had a life threatening illness all because of dr leiting so I am highly offended that you speak so Ill of this place. You sound like you are quite snobbish and are probably better off going to a vet an hinsdale that meets your obsurd luxury needs!
I have been a client of Darien Animal Clinic for many years. They have cared, over the years, for my cats and dogs and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. They've been with me through new pets, good health, illness, surgeries, older pets, and the losses. Once, when my cat was ill, they even offered to come into the clinic on Sunday to help me with fluids. The entire staff is friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. I would recommend them whole-heartedly!

We came to this Animal Clinic after out GWP bitch was very ill by way of a recommendation from a friend and have found excellent service! They are always very caring about the animals and have an extra minute or two to give that ear scratch or belly rub that just has to be done so the day is just a little easier for the patient...and there's always a puppy treat for the patient!

This clinic is in a very convient location however-location is the only thing I think they may have going for them. The building is far too small for its own good, the parking lot is dangerous as it is only one way and lets directly out to a busy street-to get in you have to walk down the side of the building onto the driveway, and theres is zero handicap accessibility. I must say that this is the first hospital that I didn't have to wait to see the doctor and it's a good thing I didn't because the chairs in the waiting area look like they came from Goodwill. Inside the exam room you are going to find the about the same amount of bland as in the waiting area only this time you are downgraded to plastic chairs from the 70's now I wish I had to wait....The doctor greeted my dog before she greeted me which I thought was a little odd since I'm the one paying her. Upon checkout talk about STICKER SHOCK! I originally came in for a routine checkup and vaccinations and it turned out that I needed medication as well but holy cow I was not prepared for the price! The college aged manager was at the desk and offered up a rebuttal for my reaction and tried to jokingly ease off my surprise-which I personally thought was extremely unprofessional. Needless to say we won't be going back.
