I have read the reviews and talked to the owner about asking someone to pay before they were done eating, he said he may have done that and he realizes it was a mistake but said there would have been a reason for it, he may have been leaving and needed to close out the drawer before he left. He did say he didn't know they were in the middle of their meal and if he knew that he wouldn't have asked the waitress to collect. So rest assured it won't happen again. I personally know the owners and they will do any and everything to make it right if you are done wrong. Anyone who is or has been in the restaurant business knows the turn over in employees and the attitude of kids these days. You can't watch every pizza being made and make every pizza the way you would want it made. Trust me if these two guys could run the place by themselves and keep up, they would do it. They are all about quality and keeping their customers happy. I get the inside on scoop on what goes on in the business and at least 5 times a week someone tries to get a free pizza calling in and saying they had a bad pizza a week earlier or they don't come and pick up there call in order. They have a computer system that can track all complaints and can tell them what day and what time and what that person ordered, this helps stop the dishonest people from getting free food and allows them to make right on legitimate complaints.

I'm originally from Chicago and had always lamented the fact that pizza in Peoria would never be able to compete. That was before I found Firehouse Pizza, when they were located on Pioneer Parkway. The owner has always been kind to me and gave great recommendations, such as their deep-dish pizza. Now that they have moved to their new location on Knoxville, they are equipped with TVs at each booth and an expanded menu. They are still figuring out their "dining-in" experience and it's understandable because for so long, they were a primarily "take-out" joint. Give it time and I bet they will be in better shape when you eat in next time. The other review was kind of harsh. All in all, I love Firehouse, and I hope other people will, too!

Great Food - Fast Courteous Service. Order to go and cook it yourself is a great option if you have to pick it up on the way home. Try the special sweet Peppers.

Great tasting pizza! A couple of hard working guys, own this establishment and have put their heart and soul into their pizza operation. Try the bbq chicken with peppadews or the supreme and always remember to tack on those amazing breadsticks to your order. Try it once and you'll be hooked!
