AAI is more like a museum of African-American history as well as a bookstore. It empowers African-Americans and all others who visit. Besides having a vast collection of African-American literature, it also hosts book signings, special events, and even teaches martial art classes, foster parent training, and has daycare. This bookstore is more than that. It is a building that encourages African-Americans and lets them know their rightful place in the community and history.
PROS: Vaious books, activities, special events, etc.
CONS: It should never close!
