I recently tried to order a homecoming dress from Bonnie's and she wrote me a reciept and everything. I thought everything was great untill a got a voicemail. First she said my name wrong and then told me she could not find the dress anywhere. She didnt even call before she ordered it? Are you kidding me? Well anyways, she said she could either give a full refund or 15% off a stock dress downstairs. When I looked there it was crowed and only had three dresses in my size (a zero). So when I went back to get my refund the lady at the desk told me she could't give me a refund because Bonnie wasn't there. She told me to come back tomorrow and I told her no because I live 45 minutes away. So she called Bonnie and Bonnie told her to tell me she could only send me a check in the mail. By the time I got home I got a call from Bonnie's asking if I was still in town because they could give me my refund back. Bonnie's has got to be one of the WORST places to purchase or even order a dress.. They are so eager to get your money but when it comes time to gove a refund it's too complicated. I would NOT recommend the store to ANYONE!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Where to begin?! I was told my bridesmaids dress would ship on May 19, so I wanted a few days later to give time to be delivered. When I called the shop, the girl told me it should be on the truck and she would call the shipping company and call me back the next day. Never received a call back, so I called the next day, and she she said she wasnt able to get ahold of the company, she would hang up and call them right then and call me back. She did immediately call me back and told me it should be on the truck to be shipped and should be in by Friday. I received no call on Friday that my dress was in, so I called and still nothing, they said it would be in sometime the next week. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I called the following Wednesday, when I am told still no work on where the dress is, and they would have the owner, Bonnie, herself call me back when she got in. I did receive a call from Bonnie later that afternoon, and I am utterly APPAULED at the disrespect and lack of customer service skills this woman has. She hung up on me not just once but TWICE that day, called me a liar saying I was not told my dress would be shipped on May 19 because no dresses ship in the middle of the month, but she wasn't even saying the 19th, because she kept saying th 13th and I had to correct her every time. She would not take the time to listen to my complaints but rather interrupted me everytime I spoke, telling me I was wrong and it's not her problem, and that I needed to contact the shipping company. I paid $25 extra to have my dress rushed because the original ship date without rush was too close to the wedding day. I feel SHE should refund me the $25 because it was her company that gave me the wrong dates in the first place. I'm getting the dress 1 week after the original ship date if I would not have paid the additional $25. My mom also called to complain about the service, and Bonnie also hung up on her. Bonnie then called me today to tell me my dress would be delivered on Monday, and how she was such a great person, because she was going to go in on a day when the shop is closed so I can get my dress, so if I want my dress I have to be there when they deliver it (which is in the middle of my work day) or I have to wait until they are open. I advised Ms Bonnie, that I have spread word to all my friends and acquaintances about the lack of customer service and compassion by her with this entire dress ordeal, and that I feel she is not taking any extra steps to satisfy her client. She proceeded to hang up on me a THIRD time! So, if you desire friendly customer service with compassion and empathy if there are any issues in the delivery of your dress, DO NOT GO TO BONNIES FORMAL FASIONS!!! I STILL have yet to get my dress, and the wedding is 2 weeks from tomorrow in Florida, which means, we are leaving in 1 week. My wish is to put this woman out of business by spreading word about her tacky, unprofessional, rude business practices and lack of any customer services skills or compassion for anything but the almighty dollar

Not a very large dress/size collection. It's run out of an old house so the dressing room was a closet (but another two dressing rooms were the bathroom). I had a pretty good experience with the service but was turned off by the run-down appearance. Didn't end up ordering a dress from them but they did allow you to take picture.

My bridesmaids ordered their dresses for my wedding just over 6 months before the wedding. The dresses were suppose to arrive about 2 1/2 months later. That's what the person told me when they called me after placing the order. They arrived 4 1/2 months later! Just 1 1/2 months before the wedding. The answers that we received during this time were unsatisfactory. They could have called the dress manufacturer to get a status. Eventually they claimed they did, but the answers were always the same "about 2 weeks". Bonnie told my Maid of Honor that she was "a sitting duck - just waiting for them to come in". UNACCEPTABLE. You are the OWNER, you are not suppose to be a "sitting duck" you are suppose to be proactive and get some answers! They were promised to have shipped at one point. The week they were suppose to come in, they didn't. We called again that Friday and Bonnie's husband said "let's hope they shipped before the Chinese New Year". What the hell does that mean??? That is not an answer! That is not something to tell a wedding party when the wedding is less that 2 months away. To top that off, one of the bridesmaids lives in another state. She was in town twice after the order was placed. Both times were AFTER the promised arrival date. The dresses never came. So now that they are here, I had to ship it to her myself. That's risky and unaccepatble. This whole process has caused me to lose sleep. I was stressed to the max. The dresses were paid in FULL so they didn't care, obviously, when they came in. I will NEVER recommend Bonnie's to anyone. I've been in many weddings - all dressed ordered about the same time in advance and I've never had a problem like this. There were no valid explanations and there was no sense of caring from the staff - other than Missy. She was the last person I spoke to before they came in and she was understanding. So I exclude her from this review. Bonnie's has great hours for a bridal store and no appt needed. Go there to try on dresses. They let you take pictures! But consider ordering from a different store. One that actually cares to get the dresses in on time!

I over the weekend went to Bonnie's to look for a bridal gown, after two unsucessful trips to other stores. The staff was helpful and knowlegable. They helped me find the perfect dress, and was not strayed when i told them i could not afford the half down to order. The dress over all cost $800.00 with tax and shipping and no extra charge for the size 20! The girls explained since my wedding was 9 months away and it only takes 4 months for the dress to come in I can make payments. So i put 200.00 down ill pay another 200.00 down when i canafford it, then they will order it and i can pay off the rest during the four months or when it comes in. I am so appreciative for that.I will definatly be back to do my bridesmaids and tuxes.

I chose Bonnie's because she was a smaller boutique and had reasonable prices compared to the bigger city stores. What a mistake that was! From the first day I walked in their customer service failed my expectations. I picked out all the dresses on my own, carried them around, found my own dressing room, and had it not been for my sister being with me, I wouldn't have been able to get in all the dresses. Once I found my dress, I brought all of my bridesmaids in to pick out their dresses. The disaster only continued. I went in on the day of Bonnie's "bridal show" and was the last time I will set foot in the store. There were 2 girls working and they treated me as if I was inconveniencing them by being there, even though I was the only one in the store. When it came time for my bridesmaid to pay for her dress we were treated even worse. The girl (whom unfortunately I failed to get her name) was rude about finding the proper size, expected me to know all the prices, and couldn't give me a straight answer as to if the separates were priced individually or together. She got on the phone with Bonnie and they proceeded to talk about me right in front of my face. I could hear every word that Bonnie was saying on the other end of the phone and it wasn't good. Every time I had come into the store I had been given a different answer: "the separates are priced together", "no they're individually"; "you have to order the same size for both", "no you can order different sizes". JUST GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER! Once the girl got off the phone with Bonnie (after announcing very loudly that she was going to let someone else deal with me because she had to walk away) she stormed out of the room like a child throwing a temper tantrum and never came back out. In between her conversations with Bonnie she had told me that they had a very busy day and there were only 2 girls working. Well I'm sorry, but that doesn't give you the right to treat me like crap! I had plans on spending quite a bit of money in there, but after that day, I'll be taking my business elsewhere!

They even gave me a great deal on the price!! Excellent store and wonderful helpful staff.

Bonnies Formal Fashions in O'fallon really saved the day. We had a last minute alteration that needed done for a wedding and they really stepped up. The service was outstanding and we were very satisfied. The price was a little high, but it was last minute!
