I've stayed twice at Hotel Burnham. It is wonderfully appointed, cozy and convenient. Airport shuttle and-boarding passes were arranged for me by concierge , which was helpful. I do feel restaurant is overpriced for quality, but otherwise very pleased with this hotel.

Stayed here last weekend. It's a nice little hotel. Rooms are small and so is lobby, but it is quaint and also right off of State Street. Easy walk to Daley Plaza, and not a bad walk to the Mag Mile either. Room was clean. They had a complementary wine reception from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Biggest complaint is that the bellhop staff seemed to be grossly overworked, as it was taking a long time for them to retrieve peoples claimed baggage. Also, parking is very difficult there. There is alot of traffic on that street, and the valet is pretty slow. It was taking around 30 minutes to get our car. Part of the issue is the large amount of traffic in the area, but I thought that they could also do a better job managing the vehicles parked in front of the hotel that were taking up space.

PROS: Clean, proximity to STate Street Shopping
CONS: Parking, Baggage Claim, Size

I love this mid-loop hotel located at the corner Washington and State, just steps from the El and lots of shopping. This rennovated boutique hotel has smallish rooms, but luxurious beds and bedding. Their evening complimentary wine service is terrific.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Burnham during our last three visits to Chicago. We are always impressed with the excellent service. This is a 4-plus star, boutique hotel right in the heart of the Loop with beautifully designed lobby and rooms, and the best hotel beds of anywhere I've stayed. They often have a complimentary wine service at the end of the day. Stay here!

Really enjoyed it! Would definitely come back!

Pros: location, staff is very nice

Stayed Nov 7-10 04 for business. The staff was incredible, Al, the valet was friendly, and helpful. Parking was a breeze if you use the hotel parking.

The rooms are very classy and romantic, although a bit small, but I expected that from a boutique hotel. The in room CD was a nice touch, and I bought it on the way out.

The conceirge was extremely helpful and felt like a friend to me. The restaurant bar was quite small, but had a wonderful bartender, Doug. Ask for him.

The location was mixed. A cab to mag. mile., but close to other things. Overall I have nothing negative to say.

Pros: staff, elegant decor, romantic

My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend for our 2nd anniversary and after reading all the reviews decided to stay at Hotel Burnham. We had such a great experience with the hotel!!! They had a bottle of champange and chocolates in our room. The service the entire weekend was incredible. The concierge was extremely helpful in making reservations for dinner and massages. Checking in and out was a breeze and took only minutes. Our room was beautiful with a great view. We stayed in a suite and I highly recommed it. I got a complimentary yoga basket which included a sticky mat, block and strap. Food at the Atwood Cafe was great. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Chicago again!

Pros: service, food

While I knew from their website that this hotel would be a beautiful vintage building, I was still very impressed by the quality of the retoration. The marble walls and ceilings, the cast-iron stairwells, the spacious and beautifully appointed rooms were beyond what I'd expected. The service was also stellar, the hotel restaurant/lounge was very good, and all in all, I'd never stay anywhere else in Chi-Town now that I've been at the Burnham.

Pros: romantic atmosphere, vintage, service

A girlfriend and I first stayed here about a year ago and LOVED it! The service was outstanding, friendly and super-attentive. So when I returned to town with my husband, I would hear of staying no-place else. But this trip was disappointing to say the least: No one to park the car, the desk people seemed rude and in the middle of an argument as we checked in and the late night room service was non-existent. The room wasn't as good of a bargain this time, but was still comfy and clean with all the nice extras and the hotel cafe has wonderful food, but what happened to the service?

Pros: Lovely Old Building, Restaurant, Location

Cons: Parking, Room Service

Very friendly staff, great location and beautiful decor made for a fantastic weekend getaway. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Burnham and were very pleased. We even cancelled our reservations at another downtown hotel in April and booked the Burnham instead! Don't miss out!

Pros: Good parking

My husband and I were in town for a wedding. It was our first time at the Hotel Burnham, but it will
not be the last. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms
luxurious. Loved the Aveda shampoo! But what
really makes the Burnham special is the service.
When we arrived it was raining and the doorman
walked out to us with an umbrella. From the moment you enter the lobby you feel pampered!
You will never want to leave. I know I didn't!!!!

Pros: first rate service, turn-down service, excellant restaurant

Pros: Great Customer Servic, Good Food, Nice Rooms

Cons: Health Club lacking

First time in Chicago to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday -- couldn't have asked for a better hotel! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They were also very knowledgeable and helpful in helping us get around. Can you imagine the doorman running up the street to catch us a cab! Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the front desk remembered me from calling in to make the reservation - she even upgraded us to the room on the top floor with the best view of the theatre district. We cannot say enough good things about Burnham, and we will definitely stay here again! It is undoubtedly the best and very romantic!

Pros: rooms and decor, service, great location

The executive suites are very beautiful.Great view.Friendly staff...not at all snobby. Most upscale hotels give you a room, generic prodcuts (soap, coffee) and that's it.We had plenty of towels, comfortable robes,Aveda products, soothing cd's,Starbuck's coffee. If you're looking for a romantic luxurious hotel without the hassle,Hotel Burnham is it.
