Greene County Head Start

This is a great program that is offered to kids low income families, for kids that are 3 and 4. Parents are exspected to go with child at least 1 day a month, and on field trips if needed. They have a bus that picks up the kidsand parents each day at their house. I have had kids in this. They sing on the bus while they pick everyone up. Then they go to the school class room, which is like regular school with a teacher , helpers and chairs and tables. They learn to participate in a class room setting and listen to the teacher, an some basic skills and to get along together. Then on the bus for home. Classes are 4 days a week, for about 4 hours counting bus time, they have morning and afternoon classes. A good way for kids to get use to being away form parents and being with other kids. This is a free program, but you haft to fill out some papers.
