I have a Ford 2002 Escort. There was a rubbing or scraping sound that seemed to come from the area of the right front wheel. I took it to Eliot's on Lincoln. He said it certainly must be the brakes. I had a complete brake job for something around $600.00. The noise was the same. It took it to Marvin's. He was willing to check various possibilities. He found it was the bearing. He fixed the bearing and solved the problem. It is a very pleasant place to go, and I believe he is very competent.
