What A gem. they have at least 25-30 different verities of tomato plants. you Have the option for most of the annuals/herbs thay sell to buy a 3-4 inch pot or 4-6 cell pack. Most of not all the flat prices are the same for annuals and you can mix and match. I don't Know any other place else where you can get painted tongh, heliotrope, Four OClocks, monky flower, angles trumpet, tomateo, in 4-6 cell packs. They also have a good selection of scented geraniums.they Have A wide selection of herbs and at least 6 kinds of basil. I have not found Another place that carries epazote and bay laurl. they also have moonflowers. They also carry a harder to find selection of perennials some as low as $3.75. So if you want these plants and more give them a visit you will be happy you did.

Family-owned garden center about a mile West of the Eden's Expressway (94) Touhy exit. Growing up, going to Meinke's was an annual ritual for my mom and I for summer garden annuals, and for Halloween pumpkins. Knowledgeable staff and personal attention a step beyond a chain store. Extensive selection of flowers, vegetables, herbs and other plants, but not really the place for decorative items, fountains or fancy pots. Go to the Pottery Barn for those things--come here for healthy, unqiue plants for your garden. Lines can be long on Saturday mornings and parking limited, come during off peak times.
PROS: Extensive selection of plants, knowledgable staff
CONS: Limited parking, crowded on summer weekends

Meinke is a little pricy but well worth the money. We go there every year to get our summer garden in order. The staff are all very friendly. Meinke has a huge selection of plants, flowers, pots and accessories! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I highly recommend Meinke for flowers in the summer time. They have an excellent array of plants and you won't find them brown and shriveled. It gets kind of crowded on the weekends, but there are plenty of staffers to ring people up and bring items to your car.
