It has been sometime since my wife and I have visited Oliveti's. The food was great, the service outstanding. a nice warm setting, romantic. I am taking my wife to dinner this Valentine Day, We have been to many ristorantes'. Oliveti tops them all. we have very fond memories of our celebration there. Lugo Family 08'

I was quite disappointed to read some of the mixed reviews that Olivetti Restaurant recently received, and having been there before I had to go back to see what, if anything had changed. My conclusion is that the others may have been having a bad day before going to Olivetti.

We were promptly seated in a very professional manner by a young lady, (pre-teen), who was probably part of the family - and this is a family restaurant that reflects their pride in the food they serve.

My waiter was Augie and he was quite forthcoming when I asked for his personal favorites. I had the Calamari Julianova which was excellent. There was no shortage of calamari in the meal, the portion was generous, the flavor nicely blended and the prices were quite reasonable. The food was prepared well, was quite tasty and was served in a pleasant and efficient manner. Augie seemed to genuinely be happy that we were there.

Looking around the dining room you knew that everyone there were also enjoying their meals.

In case anyone is wondering, in the past I have opened (2) Four Star Hotels as a Food and Beverage Controller and had responsibility for quality control in both and menu development in one. I have also travelled in a consulting capacity as a consultant for one of the original Big Eight firms specializing in the Restaurant and Hotel Industry. Additionally I travelled for another Consulting Firm as a consultant developing menu items and training cooking staff. I say this to tell you that if you want to visit a nice family run Italian Restaurant that serves food reflecting their pride at a reasonable price that is pleasing to the tast, then you really ought to pay a visit to Olivetti Restaurant.

Pros: Very nice family restaurant serving Italian food. Try the Pasta Fagioli - broth based not tomato based - for a change.

Cons: Could be more parking. Does not usually accept reservations.

My wife and I love to come here during the summer. Eating outside on the patio takes us away from everything for a few hours. The service is not always the greatest however, I am not there to get in and get out. Food has always been great and the ambience is what keeps bringing us back

The hostess was extremely rude, we had a reservation but the table was not ready even though the restaurant was almost empty. The hostess asked us to step in the bar to wait for a moment (with a not so nice look on her face or tone of voice) and then a waiter scowled at my 1 1/2 year old daughter as he walked by with two glasses on a tray and barked at us, "Watch it!" It took 10 minutes later we get to the table and another 15 minutes later the waitress came over saying she was new and wasn't told she had the table until just then. She was extremely nice but the rest of the staff made it a restaurant not to be revisited. Definitely not recommended for anyone with children.

It's stuck in a small strip center, but the neighborhood-style menu and pleasant setting coax you to stop by nonetheless. Attractive prices are a definite bonus, too. We like the idea that you can create your own pasta and top it with,…
