First off, Lia told us that the place we were moving into would be thoroughly cleaned and repainted, as well as have a new fridge and have all the broken screens replaced.
When we moved in, the only one of these tasks that was completed was the painting and that paint job looked like it had been done by a one armed blind monkey. There were entire spots on the walls that had been missed, one room had not been done at all and there was dried paint that had been spilled all over the living room floor and not cleaned up.
The place was so filthy upon moving in that we had to spend the first three days living there just cleaning everything. Insects were abundant throughout the entire building and the gangway was full of rodents.
Numerous things were broken, such as both faucets leaking the drain in the kitchen being clogged up, our key to the mail box not working and one of the locks on the front door was completely decrypt and totally unusable. When trying to get things fixed it takes about a week to get in touch with anyone and another week for them to actually come in and fix it.
Perhaps worst of all there was no smoke detector our carbon monoxide detector when we moved in, we had to get both ourselves.
When the wonderful day came and we finally did move out, we were given a note saying that we owed them around $150 for cleaning including, mopping the floors, painting and cleaning the refrigerator, all of which were returned in a better state than when we moved in.
Seriously, never sign a lease with them. You are better off sleeping on a friends couch or even staying with friends relatives until you find something better. Sign a lease and you will be in for one of the worst years of your life.

after i moved i received a bill for $300.00+ !!!! Luckily i took careful video of my place clean and in order, I also emailed the video to date stamp it beyond the default camera date as those don't hold in court. When i called M. Fishman on these bogus charges they had nothing to say.

After several hours of unbelievably thorough cleaning, I was shocked to see a deduction on our deposit. Several emails later and they apologized and promised to deliver the remaining deposit. Now several months later and .... nothing. Still working on it.
