Our clients include owners and property managers of such diverse properties as hospitals, churches, shopping centers, office parks, country clubs, restaurants, municipal facilities, subdivision roadways, town, and city streets.
Tazewell County Asphalt serves the Greater Peoria Area. We are a family owned company doing quality work in this area for over 30 years.

We specialize excavation, base installation, asphalt, oil and chip, pavement maintenance (seal coat and crack fill) and quality control.

Asphalt Paving
Whether it is county roads, city streets or subdivisions down to parking lots and park trails we here at Tazewell County Asphalt can meet all your needs. With IDOT approved N50 or N70 mix designs we can provide you with the highest quality asphalt for any job.

Asphalt Patching
Big patches or small patches we can we can meet your needs. Providing saw cutting, excavation, prime and then replacing with new asphalt.

To beautify your establishment and protect your investment as long as possible, you want to protect your asphalt from the damaging effects of certain natural elements including moisture and ultraviolet oxidation. Natural and man-made elements can cause cracks half way into the asphalt, little as 5 years. Small cracks act as miniature storm drains after a good rain and cause raveling between the asphalt over time. Larger cracks and potholes can appear within the base as early as 8-10 years unless certain precautions are taken.

Crack Fill
Water is the most destructive element to our pavements. If it rained and snowed everywhere but on our roads and bridges, 90 percent of highway and street work would be eliminated. Since that is not likely to happen any time soon, we need to prevent water intrusion into our pavements. Filling or sealing pavement cracks to prevent water from entering the base and sub base will extend the pavement life by three to five years. Filling cracks and joints with asphalt materials (such as AC 20 or asphalt emulsions) is not new. These pavement repair techniques have been commonplace practices for decades. The asphalt materials are intended to fill the crack and keep most of the water out of the pavement. When water is kept out, pavement deterioration is slowed.

Asphalt milling is the process of grinding up asphalt that can then be recycled. The process came about because many streets were getting higher and higher on curbs, and therefore drainage of the roadway was becoming an increasingly bad problem.

At Tazewell County Asphalt we can do everything to get the job ready prior to paving or patching including anything from grade work, sloping, landscaping job site preparation, to removal of asphalt, concrete, dirt, rock, and gravel.
