During the picture taking, he picked up and left, using some kind of family problem as an excuse. it's a lie.
He uses the same excuse to others for sympathy. he's done it for years. it gets old though.
it took him almost 2 years to finally give us our proofs back. we never received our wedding video.
he doesn't answer messages or emails.
i wouldn't go with him even if he were free.
He doesn't even show professionalism.
i'm sure he'll do a great job if he cares or if he has something to prove. so if your not a celebrity he'll either avoid you or show lack of interest. but he will take your money.
oh and don't even bother remembering the girl taking the calls, they always change. not because he fires them but because they quit. i wonder why.

Dealing with his company is not worth the hassle. I had trouble getting both my proofs and my pictures. I was lied to repeatedly, being promised again and again that my proofs/photos would be ready when they were not.
Once you pay, do not expect your phone calls to be returned. I actually drove up to the business after making an unanswered phone call only to find Franco and his wife/associate, Tatum, right there.
Franco and Tatum blamed everyone for their issues: Fed Ex, the developer, their delivery person, etc. Yet, when Franco blamed Fed Ex for a late delivery one day, the photos were still unavailable 3 days later. When Tatum blamed the delivery person's poor service, the photos were somehow still unavailable for me to pick up in person.
Ultimately, I had to report them to my credit card company and threaten to contact the State's Attorney's Office before I received any pictures for the hundreds of dollars that I paid to them. I am still waiting for one replacement picture that they promised me (I have been waiting for 9 months plus). Clearly this company is having issues of some kind, and I can only suggest avoiding their services unless you have a lot a time to waste.

My wedding was in Chicago on May 19th 2007. My photographer (Franco Lanzi), whose office is now in Chicago's south loop, did not show up. He did not call, nor did he answer his phone as we left him repeated voicemail messages on the wedding day. He didn't even return the messages as days passed by after the wedding. When we finely got in touch with him, he claimed that he
had the wrong date. However, the contract had the correct date, there were multiple emails back and forth that had the correct date, and I even met with him about a week before the wedding to go over some of the details. It took me a couple months to get my money back. I tried repeatedly to get the check back and he kept giving me the run around. What a jerk! He never even apologized to me.

The pictures were wonderful but the customer service is so terrible it didn't even matter. We didn't have an album for 15 months after our wedding. A year after the wedding we requested additional pictures, paid for them and still haven't

He did finally come through. 4 hours before the party, I got the portraits I ordered for the 50th Wedding Anniversary party, and frankly I was suprised. They were framed just as ordered back in July. Franco did give me a significant discount on the framing, but the stress involved was more than one should have to deal with when ordering portraits. Hopefully he can get it together in the very near future, because his work is great. P.S. Franco didn't submit this posting
