Was surprised to get chicken dinner with potatoes, rice,slaw and garlic bread for less than five bucks.And it was delicious!
BAD EXPERIENCE KRONOS FREE GYRO DAY 9/1 I've already contacted Kronos. One of their participating locations Fodraks in Libertyville was refusing to give free gyros sandwiches as of 7pm. I was originally told they where out of meat. LIARS! My husband called 5 minutes later and was able to successfully order a gyros plate. I called from my cell phone to inquire why I couldn't get a free sandwich but my husband could get a plate. I was told they were no longer honoring the coupons. Dejavue KFC? Just bad Fodraks! I really wish to share this with my fellow customers. We were faithful customers of Fodraks my Visa can prove it, maybe too faithful. I will no longer be a Fodraks customer. I can find food just as good elsewhere!!

I cannot give this a rating of world class because of the type of restaurant. Yes the gyros are great, not as great as the ones I ate from diners in Athens but good. I know of better places in Cook county. A restaurant that serves french fries and burgers where you carry your own food cannot be world class. You can't lose with the gyros, go for it!! Ask for xtra cucumber sauce!
This eat in/take out business has other food too, but I would not pass up the gyros. We drive out of our way just for them. Sliced thin and piled high. If you get the dinner, make sure to order two pieces of pita bread because you will get to sandwiches from one dinner plate. They are voted every year the best in Lake County, but I still have not found one place that's better. Call your order in ahead, because there is always a line. That should be your first hint.
Often voted best in lake county for gyros but could easily win best gyros in the Chicago area. Over stuffed gyros will quickly fill you up but the rest of the menu is enjoyable as well. Great specials for local students.
