Jumped through hoops for 3 days to be denied to adopt a stray dog? no problems in my past married, own my own home had a dog of similiar size for the last 11 years. I provided all my vet records and welcomed them to visit my home??? They must want to keep all the animals for their friends and relatives ??? I hope someone in charge reads this so maybe people who want to adopt can and save an animal from life in a cage.

As a cook county neighbor, I feel bratty c.u.n.T's named Molly need to roll up their sleeves and quit looking for cheap pets to hoard. Biatch.

My boyfriend adopted a 2-year-old min-pin/Chihuahua from here a few years ago. Cooper is the greatest dog. He was already housebroken and is so cute and funny. I'd recommend the Will County Humane Society to anyone looking to adopt a dog or a cat.

When we decided to come to this shelter to adopt a dog we were expecting much more than we got. The dogs are kept outside at all times and in caged runs that are not clean at all. It smelled of urine and feces and when you look in the cages, the cages had not been cleaned in a few days at least. The dogs were also very skinny (you could see ribs) and the people were rude to us when we walked onto the property in search of a dog. Someone should help the animals here and get them out.

Two years ago we decided to add a cat to our family. We Found and adopted Buttercup fromthis shelter. The folks there are very friendly, gave us time to spend with the cats they had there and Buttercup pick us out. The fees are reasonable and you are saving an animals life.

PROS: Friendly Staff
CONS: A bit smelly

WCHS is a great place to look for a new addition to your family. They are always sponsoring fundraisers to benefit this non-profit group and these are very fun to attend. You can have fun while helping those animals in need. The staff is very helpful.
