I have volunteered at Friendship Village for years and have made many friends throughout the campus. I can't tell you how much most people love it here and how many times I have heard "I wish I would have come here sooner because there is so much to do and everyone is so nice."
Friendship Village is a place I would absolutely want to live!

Friendship Village is truly a leader in the world of senior retirement living. They know what they are doing and do it well. Having known several of their residents over the years, I have heard first hand how happy they were with their decision to move into Friendship Village, and they always recommended it to others.

My grandmother and great aunt are residents of Friendship Village and they are so active and busy with all of the programming found there! Our family is so happy to see them both thriving at this time in their lives. This is a GREAT place!
4mega $$ spent on the new apt building which has not sold well..many budget cuts..walking thru heard many residents complaining about costs going up and services going down..i hear it being said no more extras..a family member in the assisted living area was complaining that her mother was no longer able to have a second desert..also they wont even supply toilet paper to the residents!!!!
i hear people who work there..they are nurses..they said they would not put there dog there!!

Having visited many retirement communities around the country, this one (the largest in Illinois) is several cuts above anything else in the area. With an indoor lap pool and hot tub, fitness center with 3 full-time trainers, performing arts center, and five restaurants & french chef, it offers a great retirement resort lifestyle for active retirees..
But even better, right on campus is a full complement of healthcare servics, including a Physician Center run by Alexian Brothers, Willows Assisted Living Center, Briarwood Healthcare center, and Reflections Memory Care Center.
Amazing - you've got to see it to believe it.

When my mom could not live by herself, she wanted to go to Friendship Village as some of her friends also lived there. This place was very nice. They facilitiy is large and there is a ton of activities for them. The nurses take them around in the summer and they also have field trips. All the time I've been there, the nurses were wonderful and all the buildings were very clean, well lit, and open. It's hidden from Schaumburg Road which is good.

We went there recently to do some community service, and it's a well-oiled machine there. The people who live there seem to absolutely love it there, and their volunteer program is organized extremely well.
