I really enjoy the dual atmosphere of Lions Head (not to mention the tower of beer) and then the higher energy Apartment upstairs.

Pros: Great weekend hangout with a dual atmosphere

Cons: Draws a lot of the college crowd

.

I would highly recommend both Lion's Head and the Apartment. Great food at Lion's Head, and the Apartment is a blast.

No cover, good music, not too crowded. Watch the valet though. Watched them park a car and "bump" another parked car. Great menu downstairs at the Lion Head Pub.

I opened a tab at the bar. When I checked my credit card bill there was an extra $50 charge! Don't go there unless you've got cash.

Pros: crowded

Cons: they'll scam you

This place is great!! It is slightly crowded Thursdays but drinks are super cheap. Lots of smokin hot girls. Downstairs is laidback but upstairs is a big party. Lots of good music and our bartender (Regan) was awsome and did not let us go thirsty! I recommend this place for people who live here or visitors.

Lion Head pub has good food, and everything is 1/2 price on Thursdays. You can get everything from Guinness to bread sticks with this half price deal! It is a steal, and also is a great place to hang out complete with several TV's and two pool tables. Thursdays at Lion Head are always a hit.

PROS: Great Thursday deal

I enjoy the Lion's Head. Its fun without being obnoxious.
The Apartment is so crowded, hot, and loud with awful musis that I think I would have had a better time sitting under the expressway with a 40 oz. beer in mid-August tuned into NPR.
Don't go with more than 2 friends because you won't see each other all night. Its a flat out battle to cross through the bar, all of which seems to be game as a dance floor for the Recently 21 Crowd. Don't wear expensive clothes because you WILL get spilled on. Don't wear open toed shoes because you WILL get stepped on. Go somewhere else on a Friday or Saturday because you WILL have a better time.

I received the WORSE service here. First, the waitress took over 30 minutes to bring every drink order. Soon enough, we were fed up and decided to go up to the bar instead. Then she comes by after 45 minutes (we had already ordered $60+ in from the bar) and threatens that we can't sit in her area unless we order drinks from HER. I asked if we were required to buy drinks from a specific waitress and she says no, but youre taking up my space and youre irritating me. I brought up the issue with the manager and instead of addressing his poorly trained staff, he tells me that I have no right to be mad at her and that she's just doing her job. So their definition of "doing a job" is threatening their customers and taking half an hour to get a simple drink order.

I've not been to The Apartment (upstairs) but Lion Head Pub (downstairs) is a good place to hang out with your buddies. They have nightly drink specials, most appetizers in their menu are ~$3-4 and pool is only $1. Some people will say that the atmosphere is a bit to frat-like, but as long as you avoid the peak weekend hours, it's a good place to hang out. The only problem is that when things get busy, even during the weekdays, their service becomes lousy (but doesn't it happen in most other places as well?).

My Buddy and I decided to attend a Tuesday night at this fine establishment (2.50 pints on Tues.) . Oops! Although, the food and service was great, We were escorted out of the bar at about midnight. Not because we were intoxicated. Only because, there were not enough people in the bar, and they decided to close up shop. Although their advertisement states that they are open until 2am. It's too bad that we can't count on a neighborhood establishment to cater. I like your Bar, but cater to those who don't mind spending $100 on an off night. THX

I was at the Lion Head Pub on Saturday night at around 11:00pm. We waited forever (almost 45 minutes) to get inside in the below zero temps. The thing was, it wasn't very crouded inside once we got there. The door guys were very rude and letting random people (self pronounced VIP's) inside before even one "regular" person - even girls. The bar could have made a lot more money (especially downstairs) if they would have let some people inside instead of making them wait in the cold weather outside. Several people infront & behind us left the line b/c it wasn't moving at all. It's one thing to have a long line for "appearances," but another to have it for no reason at all, especially when it was that cold outside. Overall, the bar is no different than any other Lincoln Park bar.

Friday evening happy hour, and they are out of 4 of the 5 draft beers I try to order! Are you kidding me? And the waittress (Tammy) was like, yea, well, sorry. What happened to customer service? How about a comp beer? Anyhow, the fish & chips (which they actually had) were tasty.

Only went to the aparment on the first floor. Up there, very nice decor with loungy atmosphere, couches and beds all over the place. Good hip hop sound, and enough room to dance. Nice relaxed crowd.

On the lower level, Lion Head's large wood bar, fireplace and picture windows offer respite from--but good views of--the busy locale. Upstairs, the Apartment is a whole different scene: Laid out like a flat, complete…
