Kind of a drag going west if you don't already live out there but the food and granola are worth it. They have excellent brunch options but you have to go early or you will waste a lot of timing waiting in line! This place is tiny so expect to be crammed in really close with your neighbors. If you have a dog, you can bring your furry friend and sit outside.

Where do I start?! If you want to bus your own table, grab your own silverware, eat a bland over priced lunch, which includes a soggy-pinkish white tomato and slimy-not green pickle, this place is for you!!! I, unfortunately, have been suckered into coming to this establishment more than I like to admit. Each time it's a disaster. YES! the staff is incredibly rude. YES! they are not kid-baby friendly whatsover and YES! the food blows. So why are they always busy??? A very great location for drawing people in. Please don't give them the business. They really don't want you there anyway.

Pros: very sweet bus boy with redish hair

Cons: Horrible service, and food is yuck and over priced!!!

Had the french toast and hot chocolate and they both were delicious! I went there with friends on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded.

Milk and Honey is up the street form my house and it is in a very nice part of Bucktown/Wickerpark. There are many other places around, but I wanted to go here and try somethnig different. The have their own unique sandwiches as well as a good selection of wines. This place is recommended for a stop for lunch they have good pancakes and they are really known for their granola!

Milk and Honey is a cute neighborhood restaurant that serves up a decent brunch. I tend to get the granola pancakes and they have never failed me yet. My only complaint about the place is how it is set up. First, you wait in line to place an order. While you are in line the seating hostess puts your name on the list for a table. Then, inevitably, people are herded to the back of the restaurant and squeeze into a tiny space, waiting for their table to open up. They will not serve you your food during this time; not even coffee! The wait for a table isn't *too* long so it's bearable. Still, I wish this aspect wasn't part of the experience. Overall the food is worth it, if you're in the neighborhood.

Milk & Honey Cafe is an awesome restaurant in a great Chicago neighborhood. The atmosphere is great, warm and welcoming. I went to Milk and Honey with some friends for brunch on a Sunday Morning. It was really busy but worth the wait. We ordered before we were seated and once we were seated the food came right away.

They are famous for their granola which is amazing. I ordered the huevos rancheros and my friend had the pancake special. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. The food is very reasonably priced and the proportions were large.

They have a great menu full of unique sandwiches and a nice list of beer and wine. I am definitely going back and ordering lunch. Don't be turned away by a line, it moves quickly.

Great neighborhood spot for a quick sandwich. Consistent . . .but could we get more smiles with the service? How can you work in such a seemingly pleasant environment and not be more amicable?

Pros: Consistant menu, service generally good

Cons: Parking, long lines on weekend

This little cafe was great! It's super sunny and has a great patio. The sandwiches and homemade chips were wonderful. The staff was very pleasant as well. I recommend the avocado sandwich.

I agree with the previous review. The staff is pomppous and are not courteous. I had to chase them down to get my food. Our lunch cost $35, and the only thing good was the glass of wine. There are way better restaurants for lunch in the area. Isn't there a Wendy's close by?

Had an upsetting experience at Milk and Honey last weekend. Instead of being greeted with a "good morning," we were greeted with "you are not supposed to bring THAT (pointing to my friend's cup of coffee) into our restaurant." The woman later said she would make an exception, "this time." My friends were shocked by her pompous attitude. We apologized. She said "ok, sure." Shocked again, when we got to the counter, we were again treated poorly by another rude and pretentious person. He couldn't hear what my friend ordered and instead of saying "sorry I didn't hear you, could you repeat that?" he said "what???!! Speak up!" The food was only semi-decent. Note to the restaurant: Hire some competent and friendly people and you could actually have a great restaurant on your hands.

I live a bit up the street and must say that Milk & Honey is one of my favorite neighborhood eateries. I think it works best as more of a cafe, a bright spot to meet a friend for lunch or coffee, especially when it's nice enough to sit outside. It's also a good place to sit and have a bite alone, check out the Reader and people-watch. The salads of the day have always been great, the sandwiches are satisfying and interesting, potato chips crunchy, coffee drinks well-made, atmosphere relaxed. I've had consistently friendly service and good food.

I was recently at Milk and Honey Cafe on a Sunday morning. The place is packed with people. Serves good mimosas on weekends and a variety of baked goods. The service is not slow, nor are the servers snobbish.

I've never seen such a rude staff. I live across the street and frequented it often. The staff was never friendly, seemed very rushed, and acted very overworked. The food is fine at best. Needless to say we don't go back.

I loved this cafe when I first walked in, but after a few visits and some horribly snooty service I have decided that panini sandwiches aren't worth being treating poorly because I didn't just pull up in a Lexus. The owner has no personality and is obviously unsatisfied with the general clientel of UK village which the cafe borders. She might think of moving to Lincoln Park!

The casual, stark simplicity of Milk & Honey cafe is precisely what makes it so appealing. Expect a roster of sandwiches, salads, daily soups and the like. You will find that a sandwich here is a lot more than something stuffed between two…
