We were at the Warsaw inn end of July 2009. Five of us celebrated a birthday. Food was good to very good. Really enjoyed the pastries. Service friendly and courteous. Very good value. We would return.

Pierogi are too small and too dry, swimming in some yellow goo. Meats are OK and Golabki (stuffed cabbage) is very good, but all the rest of the buffet menu is disappointing. Desserts were not edible - old, dried out and having nothing to do with good old Polish "ciasto". Only two Polish beers are available (take Zywiec). What is shrimp doing in the Polish menu, beats me.

The way I see it, one could make it a great business if one was to take the cooking seriously, provide a decent selection of home-made pierogi and have all food fresh. Chicago is not far away, and I could imagine crowds of hungry Poles pouring in. Instead, I saw signs of days-old and frozen-reheated food, and a declining business in near future.

PROS - stuffed cabbage is half decent
CONS - nothing else seems worth recommending

This is certainly an opportunity to overeat, everything looks and tastes so good. Their duck, when they have it, is mouthwatering. It is hard not to overeat here. The dessert table is ok, not the best I have ever seen, but certainly adequate. Waitress brings you drinks only. I used them for catering, and they were absolutely wonderful with the food and service, and very accomodating for any special requests.

PROS: PRICE QUANTITY
CONS: DESSERT TABLE OK

When I was a kid, I would have given this place a 1 star if that. I like it more as I've grown older though. There is a menu, but I believe most folks come here for the buffet. There is a salad, soup, several lunch/dinner choices and dessert buffet. Everyday for both lunch and dinner there is a special that changes M-F. You pay one price (which changes for kids, adults and seniors) and eat as much as you can. They offer a wide selection of Polish food. You can get blintz's, pierogis, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, polish sausage. The salad bar is pretty simple and the desserts are just as basic. I didn't grow up eating food like this, so it was a shocker for my taste buds. It's not that fancy inside, pretty basic, with alot of parking. Banquets are also held here, I've been to a few parties myself. If you like Polish food, your in for a treat, please give Warsaw a chance then.
