Terrible customer service. Would not let me make an appointment for oil change. "Just come on in, we'll take care of you". Got there at 4:31, they close at 5. Even though oil change is "no more than 20 minutes", he refused to start one. "Guys might be here later than 5:00". Really, the same guys leaning on a work bench in an empty bay?!? Hate for them to break a sweat. . . .

I will use community tires for all my vehicles needs in the future. My experience was pleasant and the work was done in a timely manner. The price was very fair and the customer service was top notch.

NEVER, EVER go here. They will "fix" stuff for you on your car with parts that don't have anything to do with the real problem, and they won't give you a refund when you find out that they didn't really fix your car. And then maybe they will blame YOU for your car not working. Sure they say no refunds but waranty for 12,000 miles but why would I want a warranty on a new battery when I already HAD a new battery and the car still died driving it off the lot?

I go in because the low air pressure light keeps comeing on every 3 weeks or so. I thought the back passenger tire had a slow leak. They looked at it and gave me a call. They said the sensor for that tire had a slow leak, i asked please go ahead and replace the sensor ($106). Get a call 3 hours later "we can't get a reading on the back driver's side tire" I said ok. They never explained if that sensor wasn't repaced too, the warning light would stay on for low tire pressure. I go pick it up, pay the bill. i start the car and the warning light was on.. i take it out on the highway to go above 40 m.p.h so it would go off. no such luck. My HEADACHE was about to begin. I I TAKE IT BACK TO COMMUNITY TIRE. I TOLD THE PERSON AT THE COUNTER THAT IT WAS STAYING ON, IT WASN'T STAYING ON WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN THIS MORNING. WHY WOULD I HAVE THE SENSOR FIXED ON PASSENGER SIDE IF THE LIGHT WAS STAYING ON? DOES ME NO GOOD TO HAVE THAT DONE. "WE CALLED YOU AND TOLD YOU NO READING ON BACK DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE" I TOLD HIM WHOVER CALLED DIDN'T EXPLAIN IF THAT SENSOR WASN'T REPLACED THE LIGHT WOULD STAY ON. EXPLAINED TO HIM THE LIGHT WASN'T STAYING ON WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED. "I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT" LETS BRING THE GUY IN AND ASK.., HE NEVER DID. I ASKED DID THE OTHER SENSOR MALFUNCTION GOING FROM THE PARKING SPACE TO THE GARAGE?( 20FT) " I DON'T KNOW" " ITS LIKE WHEN WE CHANGE THE OIL AND THE HEADLIGHT STOPS WORKING" I TOLD HIM HARDLY THE SAME THING. " I DON'T LIKE YOUR ATTITIUDE"( QUESTIONING YOUR WORK) THEN ASKED "HOW LONG I HAVE LIVED IN MAHOMET? " "MY TAXES HAVE GONE UP 3 FOLD BY PEOPLE LIKE YOU." WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH WORKING ON MY CAR. I TOLD HIM TO PLEASE FIX THE SENSOR, ASK ARE YOU GOING TO CHARGE ME AGAIN FOR LABOR (22.50) AGAIN FOR INSTALLING ANOTHER SENSOR. (79) YES THAT IS HOW LONG IT TAKE TO INSTALL ONE. I TOLD HIM FINE , BUT IT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME I BRING MY CAR HERE. "I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS 40 YRS" I DON'T NEED YOUR BUSINESS". I LEFT THE CAR AND GOT A CALL A HOUR LATER THAT IS WAS DONE. I WALKIN TO PICK IT UP. THE RECEIPT AND CREDIT CARD SLIP THAT I PUT ON THE COUNTER , WAS STILL IN THE SAME PLACE. " HE SAID "HERE YOU GO," SLIDING THE PAPER AND RECEIPT TO ME" WALKS OVER TO SOMEONE HE WAS TALKING TO...I ASK HOW MUCH DO I OWE YOU..NOTHING AND GOES BACK TO TALKING TO THIS OTHER PERSON. IF HE WASN'T GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SECOND SENSOR, WHY DIDN'T HE SAY SOMETHING BEFORE.? LOVE THE RESPECT. CUSTOMER SERVICE? ALL OF THIS AND NO APOLOGY. Ok... my jeep breaks down on the wife. I reluctantly agree to have Mahoment Tire and Lube repair the safety switch. They act like the part is going to be uber hard to get. They quote me well over $600 for the repair (plus towing from my wifes work). I ask why so much, they stated it is a hard to replace part (out right lie). Finally, once I get home I have time to research the part and repair. This switch goes for $50-$120 online. I get charged over $300 for it. I get charged $175 for labor, over $20 for misc shop supplies (to change a switch?). Here is what gets me. I gave the go ahead at closing, and first thing in the morning they magically have the part that was going to be so hard to get. The part is not on. I stated I wanted to pay for the troubleshooting and towing and take my Jeep. THEY REFUSE, THEY STATE I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR DEPSITE THE WORK NOT BEING DONE OR THEY WOULD NOT LET ME HAVE MY JEEP. Just how legal is this? I end up getting in a huge argument about them having no right to force me to have the repair done. At that point they want to kick me out and not let me have my jeep or pay for it. Eventually I end up paying for the entire thing and letting them have it their way. Just how legal is this? The next morning I pick the Jeep up before they open. They replaced the switch, car starts. But wait a minute folks, they messed up my gear shift indicator. When in drive, my jeep shows it is in neutral. This will the he last time I use Community Tire and Fast Lub in Mahomet. The prices are too high, the customer service is not there, and they are breaking the law. They can't force someone to do a repair that has not been done. Steer clear guys.

Community Tire offers many automotive services. All of my experiences with them have been favorable. The price is a little high, but the level of service is excellent. The community tire staff are professional and their garage is very clean. They don't try to coerce their customers into buying services that aren't needed. They were quick and proficient.
