Staff are rude, mean, and heartless!\r
I honestly believe they are only out to make a buck.\r

Pros: NONE

Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST

Our sweet french lop, Freddy had a horrible "hole" in his neck. It was 1/2 inch in diamater and deep. We were horrified. The person at the front desk was very nice. Wait was a bit long. They could have been a bit more forthcoming about why the wait was long...but not really a problem. The receptionist did tell me that he had a parasite and would probably be fine which I appreciated. The doctor, Dr Finan, was very kind, animated and professional.

The only con is that it is $$$$$$......so be prepared. Otherwise, great service.

My dog was bitten by two dogs twice her size and I was completely scared, nervous, and worried about where to take her. I really didn't have time to think so I went to a place my friend recommended.

I got there and the door was held wide open, the nurses took Mandy immediately to a room to check out how bad everything was and for vitals and such. It wasn't long before we were told to sit in the Dr.'s office.

Well, in walks a young blonde Dr. with girlish pigtails to tell us everything that needed to be done. I saw the way she was acting with our dog and immediately was at ease. It was obvious the love that these people have for animals.

She PERSONALLY called me at 2:30 in the morning after the surgery had been completed and left a message to tell me that Mandy was doing alright and that she had just given her some water, tucked her in with a warm bottle next to her body, and covered her "with a little blanket".

In the morning she brought Mandy out and though my little girl was filled with tubes and bruised her tail was wagging cause of how well she was treated and how loved the Dr. made her feel.

I had problems with Mandy two days later and Dr. Finan told me to bring her in immediately and she would personally look at her. She had Mandy in there again as soon as I got there.

If I were to rate this place, the staff, and the wonderful Dr. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I realize this is a critical care facility but it needs to be managed better. Our dog had an injured eye and our vet stressed that he get immediate care or risk permanent damage or worse. We went to Animal 911 and then proceeded to wait nearly 90 minutes (or more) while the vets took care of other pets in need of emergency care. I appreciate the pressure they are under. What I did not appreciate was the total lack of communication on the part of the woman at the front desk, who did not inform us of the delay or why it was happening. We were just expected to sit and wait. More than that, when I asked in a polite manner how long the wait was likely to be, she had no idea. Then, in a burst of professional immaturity, made no effort to get back to us with an approximate time or to provide us a better understanding of why others were going before us (at least three very sick cats were treated while we waited). After the 90 minute wait, we called our vet who urged us to take our dog right away to an emergency pet hospital in Northbrook, where we were greeted immediately by a nurse and our dog was treated soon afterward. I understand there were more urgent cases that bumped us to the back of the line. What I do NOT understand is how the owner of this facility allows customers with a sick animal to cool their heels without any feedback. What is this? An airline? When we told the woman at the front desk that we were leaving and didn't appreciate her lack of professionalism, she said, "you can go to another facility" and then turned her back on me. Yeah, I know. I only hope Animal 911 treats the pets better than they do people. I know alot of pet owners and will make it a point NOT to recommend this place, so they can also "go to another facility" and be treated professionally."

These folks are amazing. They are competent, quick to react and treat, and compassionate. The facility is spotless and the pet care area is comfortable and respectful of the animals.

I brought one of my ferrets there who had been stepped on and was urinating red liquid. I was terrified at the thought of losing my precious little boy. Despite my frantic state, the staff at Animal 911 was very loving and patient with me. They treated my ferret with genuine kindness and treated him for a rupture. My little boy is still with us today because of these great vets.

They have been there for many holiday and weekend emergencies with my pets. They have saved a bird with head trauma, restitched an open wound on a dog and xrayed for breaks. Wait can be long but there really is no where else to go under these circumstances. All animals must be out by morning.Staff is qualified and professional.

PROS: Qualified staff
CONS: Wait time
