Ordered a 5 piece sectional, recliner chair & end table from Grice and was told it would take 6 - 12 weeks to be made & delivered. The furniture came about week 10 with the wrong end table. I told the delivery guy it was the wrong item, he called the store & said Ann, our sales person, was sorry & they would order the correct one. Mind you this is not a custom piece, just an end table we liked in their showroom. A day later I called her to find out how long it would take & she said about 3 - 4 weeks. At 4 weeks I called & asked again, she said it would be another 1 - 2 weeks since "it's coming from California". Another 2 weeks I called & she on vacation so I talked with a female who took down my information & issue & said she would call back. A week later I called to find out about that inquiry & a man answered the phone, took down my information & said he would call me back. Irritated at this point I called back everyday for a week, just to find out the status. Never raising my voice but expressing frustration. For a week the same guy answered my phone, told me he'd call back that day & never did. Also said that the owner, Ed, was supposed to call. When I told him he didn't he said "Oh, S**T! He was supposed to call. I think we have your item in our warehouse" & never called me back. Since I wasn't getting anywhere with the co-workers I decided to wait a week & talk to Ann when she was supposed to return on the 16th. Called on the 16th & said she was on vacation until the 28th. It has now taken longer to get a stock end table than it has a custom living room set. Tired of the run around I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Grice told us our delivery would be before Thanksgiving. They wanted to send what they had but did not have the complete order. Even though we were repeat customers they charged a 30% ($299.) "restocking fee" for cancelling. This was because they said this was a "special order". I don't know what was so special about it. It was all right there in the showroom when we purchased. I even told them I would wait a couple more weeks but they would not guarantee delivery or refund complete deposit. Do they think you should wait indefinitely? This is the way they treat good customers. Beware!
