I had a wonderful experience working with both Shannon and Isaac at dimend SCAASI. Shannon was extremely helpful in educating me and patient with my numerous visits, countless questions and requests to compare various stones - and I always felt that I could trust she would be honest with me. After selecting the perfect center stone and modifying the setting to my liking, they were able to turn the finished product around for me on an expedited timeline. When I got the ring it was even better than expected and my fiance absolutely loves it. I would not hesitate to recommend dimend SCAASI to anyone.

I bought my fiance's engagement ring here. I had a great experience. We went to a few jewelers on Jewelers' Row, and had the best experience at Dimend Scaasi. The stone we bought was really one of a kind, and my fiance is always told how beautiful her ring is. Prices are fairly competitive and they have very unique settings.

Most of all the customer service is outstanding, we enjoyed working with the salespeople. They were neither pushy nor aggressive about buying the ring. Shannon was especially helpful.

While searching the dimend SCAASI website for a ring I found one close to one that I was looking for, but not what my wife wanted for her "push present". I dropped them a note by hitting a link on the search page and asked if the ring could be customized. I got an answer from the dimend team in less than 20mins and we had the order situated right after! The ring quality is better than what you would receive from Tiffany and the pricing is much cheaper. I would definitely recommend and purchase from dimend SCAASI again!

Isaac and the entire staff at Dimend Scaasi are just truly incredible! I have never had a better experience in my entire life when it comes to customer satisfaction and quality. They really put all of their attention on each and every customer, myself included, and I had the pleasure of both witnessing and experiencing that during my numerous visits to the gallery. I consider myself a perfectionist and coming from an engineering background, I put a lot of attention into the details and Dimend Scaasi far exceeded my expectations of not only the experience I might have with a jeweler, but more importantly the superior level of craftsmanship and beauty I would achieve with the ring I would ultimately give to my future wife!

I started my search for the perfect engagement ring by looking around online for a well respected and reviewed jeweler. I found a few that were decent, but none that even came close to the rave and consistently strong reviews that Dimend Scaasi had received. I was really impressed and overwhelmed and knew that I had to make an appointment immediately. Aside from proposing to my girlfriend, this was the best move I've ever made. I had the pleasure of meeting with Isaac on my first visit to the gallery and working with him through the entire process. Isaac is truly remarkable. As soon as I stepped into the gallery, I was welcomed and felt comfortable. Although I did a little research beforehand, Isaac provided me with a rather thorough education of diamonds and did a superb job of helping me realize what I was really looking for. Having so many disparate thoughts and ideas before coming into the gallery, I was truly thankful to have Isaac help me make sense of it all and focus in on what I was looking for. I already had an idea on what my girlfriend was envisioning but I knew I wanted to take it to the next level. Isaac provided me with the guidelines and freedom to do so and I couldn't have been happier with the process and the end result.

My process for exploring ring ideas, asking questions, thinking of ring setting designs, bouncing ideas off Isaac and ultimately setting on a ring to be made did last about 3 months, but it was a really fun process and I can't say enough about how accommodating and patient Isaac was throughout the thing. You really cannot receive this type of customer experience anywhere else. For a period of time, I was going into the gallery at least once or twice per week and Isaac would always make himself available to meet with me and give his advice on my ideas and assist me with moving once step closer in what I ultimately chose was the right direction. I always felt like I had the freedom to imagine, design and customize, but I really valued the fact that I could bring all of my concepts and inspiration to Isaac on an ongoing basis to continuously obtain his feedback on practical solutions that would ultimately help me transform my vision into reality.

Upon receiving the ring, I was totally blown away. I have never ever seen anything so magnificent and that sparkled so much as this ring did. I had expectations of what the ring might look like based off of its initially design, but this ring really blew all of those notions out of the water. All of the time I had put in thinking, deliberating and collaborating with Isaac on designing the ring had truly paid off. The ring was absolutely fantastic and was far more stunning than what I was originally imagining.

Dimend Scaasi?s customer service continues to shine on even after my ring purchase, as I?ve already made multiple visits to Isaac, this time with my fianc?, for instruction on maintenance and ultimate care of the ring.

It is a no-brainer that Dimend Scaasi will be the only place I go for wedding bands, birthday, anniversary, holiday gifts or at any other time when I am looking for special gifts where I know I can expect a magical touch that only Dimend Scaasi can deliver.

I recently visited diamond SCAASI and was very disappointed. There prices were higher than nearly every other store I visited and their selection was extremely limited. afterwords, I looked back at all these wonderful reviews. Its funny how everytime there is a negative review, the following day there are 5 positive reviews. Anyways, decide for yourself, but I am telling you shop around before you purchase from them.

This place is a real gem (pardon the pun). Seriously, if you need to buy jewelry in Chicago definitely do yourself a favor and stop by Dimend Scaasi. I have bought my wife necklaces, earrings and rings there and she is always happy and I have always enjoyed my shopping experience (and I normally hate buying jewelry). The service is great and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I have been to some of the other jewelers on Wabash and they just don't compare.

I cannot say enough good things about Dimend Scaasi. I worked with Marta and she was extremely knowledgeable and helped me get exactly what I wanted while staying within the budget i had established. She was very patient and helpful throughout the entire process and met with me a couple of times in order to make sure I got the perfect diamond.
Overall i am very glad i went to Dimend Scaasi, Marta and Issac reduced the stress of the process and were vary responsive to my requests and needs. I will definitely be back.

Shannon at Dimend Scaasi and a diamond from Crafted By Infinity will be all you need to create the perfect enagagement ring. From the very beginning with a hands on learning experience, Shannon led me through a potentially very stressful and difficult journey with detailed professionalism and very personal attention.

With a quick read of the 4C's before stopping in for an appointment at Dimend Scaasi, Shannon had a wide range of loose stones ready for my viewing. She gave me a very good tutorial on color and clarity and a few hours later, I was extremely comfortable in knowing what I was looking for after being able to see and analyze stones of varying grades. I left feeling no obligation to return and was extremely satisfied with this initial experience which ultimately was my decision to not seriously look elsewhere.

Over the next several weeks, Shannon was able to keep up with my relentless emails asking questions and comparing stones they listed as available on their website. After rejecting several stones for one reason or another, Shannon understood how important the cut quality was to me and went out to find me an Infinity stone (www.craftedbyinfinity com) within my parameters. Once I saw this stone's light performance and brilliance, I understood why it's one of the most saught after diamonds and knew I found exactly what I had been looking for. (Tip: Dimend Scaasi has all of the latest and greatest tools for analyzing a stone's light performance - ask to see images of stones they can get in-house).

Once i had the Infinity stone, the ring design was the next step. I came into this knowing exactly how the ring needed to look. Everything at Dimend Scaasi is made from scratch and hand crafted - so my custom design couldn't have been easier. I was able to give drawings, pictures and verbal instructions on every detail, view wax versions and finally approve it before it went into casting. Turnaround time was less than 1 week after approving the wax - I felt as if I was their top priority.

All in all, I hope anyone who reads this and is looking for a potential retailer for a custom engagement ring will look no further and make an appointment today with Shanon at Dimend Scaasi. I had so much fun with so much flexability and so many options, I never once felt stressed, frustrated or nervous about any part of this process and YOU won't either. Have fun!

I was in search of a new setting for my engagement ring and Isaac was a great help with assisting my husband and I find the perfect setting. He took his time showing us countless settings and giving us plenty of time to make our decision without being pushy or trying to oversell us. I hate the boring typical settings that eveyone else has, but they had great modern styles to chose from. We ended up getting a tension setting after his amazing personal testimony about it's simple elegance but secure construction. I've had it for a few weeks now and am completely happy with the ring as well as the service we had with Isaac. I will surely come back to them with all my jewerly shopping needs!

I purchased my fianc?e?s engagement ring at Dimend Scaasi, and was extremely pleased with the entire process.

When I started looking for an engagement ring, I didn?t know where to begin. It can be a very intimidating process. So, when trying to find a jeweler that I could work with, I did what I usually do and turned to Yelp and a few other forums for recommendations. While I am a first time Yelp reviewer, I have used the service for everything from restaurant reviews to used bookstore recommendations. One of the top choices for other Yelpers was Dimend Scaasi. Even so, I fully prepared myself for having to forcefully fend off pushy, commission oriented salesmen at every turn. At several of the other places that I went, that was indeed the experience, but at Dimend Scaasi, things couldn?t have been more different.

I worked with Shannon, and she was a pleasure to deal with. By the time I met her I already had done a fair amount of research about what kind of diamond I was looking for, so I knew exactly what shape, cut, clarity, color and size that I wanted. Shannon showed me what she had in stock that fit my criteria, which was great, but I still wanted to see more. We set up another appointment, and she promised she could get me the best rocks in Chicago so I could make my decision. During this process, I let her know that I wasn?t going to buy immediately, and also that I was working with a couple of other jewelers. She was very understanding and encouraged me to take as long as I wanted and to visit as many jewelers as I needed to make the right decision.

During the course of the week leading up to my second visit, Shannon was in constant email contact, sending me information on the diamonds she was bringing in to show me. This was a huge time saver, because I could study the list and tell her specifically which ones I wasn?t interested in before I even saw them. When I finally arrived for our second appointment, Shannon had a very nice assortment of diamonds that specifically fit my budget. At one point, I wasn?t sure if I should spend more money for a larger carat size, and Shannon actually talked me out of it?that was definitely something I was not expecting! She placed the rock that fit in my budget next to the larger one, and showed me that to the lay eye one couldn?t tell the difference between the two. Ultimately, after examining diamonds at the other jewelers with whom I was working, it became clear that DS had the best options based on my specifications.

Shannon was also very helpful in picking out the setting and the band for my ring. After telling her about my fianc?e?s taste in jewelry, Shannon assembled three or four different options, and then gave me her opinion on each one. It was almost as if she had known my fianc?e for years.

In the end, my fianc?e LOVED the ring that I purchased from Dimend Scaasi. Shannon?s attention to detail, friendliness, and customer service skills set her far apart from the other shops in the diamond district with whom I dealt. My fianc?e and I will absolutely be going back there to purchase our bands, as well as any other jewelry that I may be buying over the coming years. I can?t recommend Shannon and Dimend Scaasi enough.

I first visited Dimend Scaasi in November last year and met with Alexa. Before my visit I had spent lots of time looking at different websites, comparing prices and selections, learning about the 4Cs, etc. My fiance was nice enough to let me pick exactly what I wanted;-). I knew that I wanted an asscher cut stone, mounted one of their halo settings. She was very patient, knowledgeable and did not try to pressure me into committing to a purchase. I left knowing that I wanted to get my ring from there when we were ready. I tried some more research but my heart was set on the asscher cut at Dimend so I was done looking.

I returned with my fiance early this summer to finalize our selection. While we were there she took the time to show us several stones within our price range, pros and cons of each cut, etc. Alexa did not try to push my fiance into spending more than he planned and was honest with us, nor did she try to push me into picking a stone I didn't like.

Well, my fiance proposed over Labor day weekend and I was just blown away. It is simply stunning!!! Everyone who's seen it says wow! and asks to take a closer look. Most importantly I am excited about our upcoming wedding!:-) We'll definitely be back to pick out our wedding bands and all our future jewelry needs!

For all the reasons above, I strongly recommend Dimend Scaasi and Alexa. You can't go wrong.

So you're on Citysearch because you're tech savvy and you scour reviews before you make any kind of large purchase. I went to this place mainly because of the ratings here which I now believe are less than on the level. Many of the reviewers here sound as though they had some kind of mystical experience. It?s also odd that almost all the 5star reviews here are written by reviewers whose only review is scassi. Scassi also advertises their Citysearch reviews on their website. We wound up waiting two months to get the final ring - two months I spent wondering how there could be so many insanely good reviews - two months I spent emailing and calling the confused sales girl. She was very nice but consistently provided contradictory or misguided information on what ring we were actually getting and where it was coming from. She even requested that we not call but rather use email even though she had somewhat limited command of English which led to many emails beginning ?When you say X what exactly do you really mean?? Again, the place is a business and I?m sure some people have good experiences, some mediocre and some bad ? but this place is NOT the diamond Shangri-la that the reviews here make it out to be. Once I started reading the reviews again I had to laugh at all the effusive typing. Funny how much I?ve come to depend on reviews.

We had an exceptional experience with dimend SCAASI when we chose my wedding ring. After many weeks of "shopping around" I found my dream setting and stone at thier website. Having just moved to Wisconsin we weren't able to visit th shop in person and needed the ring on a week. Shannon worked around the clock to make sure we got it on time. She assured us we were getting what we saw on line and the quality is outstanding. She keep us in the loop throughtout the entire process. I got my beautiful wedding ring just in time for our dream wedding! We did get it appraised and was valued at what we spent on it, actually slightly more. We will be shopping there again for sure. Isaac and the entire team are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Not only does Dimend Scassi have a huge selection of engagement rings, wedding bands and other jewelry such as earrings, necklaces and watches they will also custom design pieces to your liking. Isaac made my fianc??s day when he worked with her to design her dream wedding band, which turned out spectacular.

Their pricing is also extremely competitive. Compare the prices to other retailers and you'll see a significant savings! I'd highly recommend Dimend Scaasi to anyone looking to make someone else feel very special and very happy. Dimend Scaasi is THE jeweler to visit, especially if you want to custom-design your ring. My fianc? bought my diamond from Scaasi but he?s wise enough to know I wouldn?t be satisfied with an ?off-the-rack? setting. So after he proposed to me, we went back to Scaasi to design my dream setting. We worked with Alexa Schumacher, who is extremely knowledgeable and VERY patient. I had a vision of how I wanted my setting to look and feel, and Alexa worked with me to bring that vision into reality. The workshop that Scaasi uses to make our setting must be full of talented jewelrysmiths because they skillfully followed all my specifications and created a final product my fianc? and I absolutely love. And that?s not a small order because I had very specific ideas and am very particular about every aspect of my ring. Of course, there were times when I bounced certain ideas off Alexa, who either affirmed my idea or suggested a variation because her experience tells her my idea would not work in the 3-D world. Do yourself a favor and go see Alexa at Dimend Scaasi!

A couple of months ago I started my search for a perfect engagement ring. After visiting numerous websites and in-store visits, I was left confused, discouraged and a quite frankly very nervous about what to do next. Here I was completely inexperienced in the trade and caught up in a situation where I had to move forward quickly to get the perfect ring and diamond so I can propose to the love of my life!

After an exhausting on-line search I found Dimend SCAASI's web site. The website immediately set them apart from the other 3 dozen or so jeweler websites I had visited and considered for this significant purchase. The ring designs they have are quite special and very reasonably priced. So I picked up the phone and called. I was greeted by Lexi who instantly put me at ease and set up an appointment later on the same day where she showed me several of the ring designs in a live video cast that can be arranged through the Dimend website!!! (I recommend this as a first step even if you live in the area) Lexi was VERY patient with me and we discussed all the details of the various designs and potential options for almost an hour. At this point I was very close to being sold.... but I wanted to be certain I'm making the right choice so I asked Lexi if I could pay them a visit at the Dimend SCAASI store to view the short listed rings in person. Lexi was able to squeeze me in within a couple of days. The store is located in a nice setting and the employees are extremely professional and helpful. You really get the sense that they are not out to squeeze every dollar you have out of you - but at the same time they want to be sure they do everything they can to meet your needs. I am very particular about quality and service and let me tell you that the buying experience as Dimend is really something else!

The setting design I ended up with was quite elaborate (more than 40 encrusted diamonds in the setting) but I had one problem - her finger size is a size 3!!! I was really nervous that if the jeweler is not skilled they might not be able to appropriately scale things down with the size of the ring to make it look proportionate. Lexi discussed all the details with me and ensured that it will look perfect with the diamond I selected.

I just picked up the ring yesterday. And WOW!!!! I really have nothing else to add. It is just a stunning piece of Jewelry, art almost!! I never thought that something this small can have such detail and look this good. The next time I need a piece of Jewelry made I am going nowhere else but to Dimend SCAASI. A modern buying experience from start to finish.

Now comes the second phase of my plan - how to pop the question!!!!!!

I decided to completely surprise my girlfriend with a proposal, and thus was left to pick out a ring entirely on my own. Let me tell you, this is no easy task for a guy. I went to a lot of different jewelry stores and did a lot of online research. Many of these places had excellent products and services, but Dimend SCAASI was several steps above all the rest. Let me save you guys out there work right now: go to Dimend SCAASI and don't look back, you won't find a better place.

I worked primarily with Alexa, and she was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and accommodating. Not to mention, she helped me develop the perfect ring for my fiance. My ring was somewhat custom designed, and I gave her a long list of characteristics I wanted and did not want. When I finally got the ring, it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Every detail I requested was finished to perfection. I could not have been happier!

As others have mentioned here, there is no pressure to spend more than you want to. I went in and told them my budget from the beginning, and they helped me come in under budget and get the perfect ring. Their loose diamond prices are competitive even with the large online diamond sites like Blue Nile, and their diamonds are much cheaper than those of many other jewelry stores I visited.

My experience with Isaac was limited, but during the time I did spend with him he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Bottom line: my fiance absolutely loves the ring and constantly gets compliments on it. Furthermore, I feel like I got an outstanding value. There was not a single negative aspect to my experience with Alexa, Isaac, and Dimend SCAASI. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

Being my first time buying a diamond, I was a bit nervous about the whole process and how to avoid being taken for a ride. Alexa at dimendscaasi was very accomodating to the process and even talked me down from the type of stones I was looking for. After a few meetings, I decided on dimendscaasi for the stone and ring, and haven't looked back. She (the fiancee) absolutely loved the ring and I am very happy with the ring, stone, and warranty. Recommended for everyone!

I just received the engagement ring that I purchased from them and couldn't be more pleased! Alexa helped me through the entire process and her expertise, advice and honesty was much appreciated. My girlfriend and I purchased a diamond from Marta and were extremely pleased on how helpful and polite she was. We have been shopping around for a couple of weeks now and have come across a lot of jewelers who would have said anything and everything to make a sale, where Marta did not. We really appreciated the attitude and politeness she had toward us and how she took the time to answer all of our questions. These attributes are hard to come by and this is why I plan on shopping at Dimend SCAASI in the future and look forward to doing business with Marta again.

If you are fortunate enough to work with Alexa, you are in for a great experience. I personally was nervous about the whole thing because I hate feeling like i'm being taken for a ride (thought it was going to be similar to buying a car). But Alexa was honest about how to cut down costs (told me to go with white gold instead of platinum) and extremely responsive during the sale process. Highly recommended.

While other jewelers simply handed me one diamond and said "this is what you need." I decided to shop for an engagement ring at Dimend SCAASI because of the great designs I saw on their website. The experience surpassed my expectations! (And my expectations were pretty high after reading the reviews on this site.)

I wanted a design that was really unique and something that would mean something to me and my fiancee. I had a design in mind but was concerned that it was a bit complicated. (It involved two rings that locked together using a dove-tail joint.)

Even with my rough sketches, Isaac understood immediately the vision I had. He had an existing design that I really like and was a great basis for the ring I had in mind. He and Marta were patient and worked with me until the design was exactly how I had imagined it. Isaac did not hesitate getting as many CADs drawn as necessary until we got it right. In the process he made a great improvement to the design.

Working on a customized ring required some patience but it was well worth the effort! My fiancee and I could not be happier with the outcome. I could not have imagined better partners in the process than Isaac and his team at dimend SCAASI!

They have the unique ability to find any diamond at any price range, and they will not let you settle on just any ring. They care as much as you do that your ring is perfect in every way. I just proposed to my girlfriend a few days ago, and she has been glowing ever since. I owe big thanks to the staff at Dimend Scaasi for making this process so much more enjoyable than it would have been with any normal ring retailer. I can not say enough about Dimend Scaasi. Isaac is truely a wonder jewelry expert: helpful, PATIENT, and brilliant. Dimend Scaasi provided the most gorgeous engagement ring I could imagine. My fiance wanted to have my ring made specifically for me and Isaac did exactly that. We live in Jacksonville, FL and were hesitant about purchasing a valuable diamond, sight unseen, online. We had even found a local jeweler to make the ring, once we found the diamond. However, I cannot emphasis enough how much Isaac made us want to have him as our jeweler just speaking via phone. He wasn't trying to sell us on his company; he just understood our resistance to purchase online over a local jeweler. Even so, he helped us purchase a diamond by answering my millions of questions and phone calls. Furthermore, he sent the diamond for inspection (after an amazing online viewing) and allowed return for full puchase price if unsatisfied. After we saw the diamond, we were absolutely stunned and relieved at how successful an online purchase can be. At this point, we had decided that Isaac had more patience and personalized attention via phone and email than our own local jeweler had in person. We decided he should make the ring. Isaac went further to mail two different ring setting to us to actually try on because we thought those two were definitely it. By the day they arrived, I had changed my mind on both settings and Isaac completely understood, accepted both back, and continued working with us to find the right setting. Then, my finance and I knew exactly what we wanted, told Isaac, and he went to work. I was out of the picture at that point, and my finace and Isaac went from there to create an amazing ring. We cannot express enough how wonderful our experience purchasing this priceless piece became from a google search that lead us to Dimend Scaasi. Thank you Isaac, Marta, and his entire devoted staff for their time, patience, and excellent craftsmenship.

From a guy's point of view, the whole process of buying a ring can be very intimidating. Once my girlfriend (now fiance) and I had determined we had no mutual faith in my ability to pick out a beautiful ring she would love forever, we decided to do the process together. After visiting a couple of places, we tried Dimend Scassi which was recommended by one her friends.

Isaac and Marta were wonderful throughout the entire process. They explained everything and always had time of us. The price was quite competitive as well. But, most importantly, the ring was beautiful!!

As a tribute to their customer service, we actually were supposed to get a photograph of the ring before the ring was ever made for us. However, the jeweler went ahead and made it before showing us the picture, but Isaac offered to remake it for free if she didn't like it. Nonetheless, my girlfriend loved it and was quite shocked! In fact, when I was leaning toward the more expensive diamond, Isaac suggested perhaps the slight upgrade quality wasn't that noticeable and probably not worth the huge jump in price. Very honest... not many jewelers would do that. Sure enough, the Steelers made the Super Bowl two weeks later and i found myself in Tampa at the game!

Needless to say, Dimend Scassi is the best and would definitely recommend to anyone! First class!

dimend SCAASI came recommended to me from some friends of my sister so I made an appointment (quite last minute by the way) when I was in town. I could not have imagined a better experience! Alexa and the rest of the staff were pleasant and informative. Alexa seemed intent on making sure I got the ring I would be most proud of giving (It seems hard to believe, but there was never the sense that she was trying to get me to spend more or buy things I didn't need or want). All in all, I think she and the rest of the staff just really understand and are sensitive to the magnitude and gravity of an engagement ring purchase. For that, I am truly grateful. And by the way, my fiance' absolutely loves her ring and we will be getting our wedding bands done at dimend SCAASI (even though we both live out of state).

I found one online that I really liked, and did some chatting online with Alexa about it. I quickly noticed that they have more interest in getting your repeat business rather than getting you into the biggest diamond you can afford (she recommended a slightly less clear diamond than I had in mind, and it turned out excellent!). Long story short, they will probably be getting my business on the wedding bands. The engagement ring arrived early and it looks fantastic!

I purchased an engagement ring back in August and my fiancee literally gets complimented daily on how much it sparkles. Shannon helped me choose the perfect diamond and at a really great price. I described what I wanted as far as style goes and got exactly that.

What is really amazing is that one day my fiancee took off her glove in the driveway and her ring fell off. By the time we realized where it was it had been rolled over by a car. Surprisingly there was very little damage to the ring!!! It was slightly bent and scratched up. I took it back to them and without question they told me they could fix it free of charge since it wasn't so bad. This really says volumes about the quality of their jewelery.

I can't say enough about the quality of service you will get when you go to Dimend Scassi. It is really refreshing to be able to find a jeweler that won't pressure the heck out of you like the chain stores. Dimend Scassi has won me over for life. Anything that I will ever need I will definitely go to them.

My fiancee is from Chicago and so knows the city pretty well. That was a good thing as her local knowledge meant that rather than being ripped off on the high street, she did plenty of research online and built up a list of the best 10 stores in the jewellers mall, before we visited in Aug 2008.

After hours of looking around, Dimend Scaasi stood out for both of us, offering a combination of competitive prices, excellent service that never made you feel pressured, and providing only high quality stones. They also gave great advice when it came to having a ring custom made, and it goes without saying my fiancee was just a little happy about what she has got for her (MY!) budget.

I highly recommend visiting their website and store, and am planning to get my wedding band made there next year as well.

Buying an engagement ring is no easy task ive been through 15-20 dealers & about 10 different websites claiming to "the best "
Needless to say nothing holds a candle to Dimend SCAASI.
I looked at thier website and saw how easy it was to "create" your own ring.

Now especialy since i wanted something unique, they are one of the few Gelin Abaci authorized jewelers that showed how the ring would actually look like.
I spoke to Lexi the day i decided with Dimend SCAASI to be my jeweler & emailed Alexa...everything was done so professional...it almost seemed like i was buying an Ipod (They explained to the point a novice like myself could understand)

I just got the Gelin Abaci tension ring for my soon to be wife , its absolutely gorgeous.

If anyone wants to buy a enagagement ring or any type of jewelry online at a good price, look no further.
Dimend SCAASI is the real deal.

I am unsure if I can find the words to express how happy we are with the ring we bought. It is simply GORGEOUS and CLASSY! I located the ring through an internet search months ago. We were skeptical of purchasing something so big over the internet so we went to a few local jewelers. We did not come close to finding anything we were interested in at the local jewlery shops. After each trip to the local jewelers I would find myself back on the web site just staring at the ring we wanted. Our skepticism of buying the ring over the internet was immediately erased once we talked with Alexa and Isaac on the phone. Being on a fairly modest budget, yet wanting the best ring and diamond for my fiancee, I exchanged many an email (and phone call) with Isaac. They had come very highly recommended from a friend who had also purchased an engagement ring from there. Dimend SCASSI was actually the first jeweler that I visited during my search for a ring. I immediately fell in love with one of their signature settings upon my first visit. However, I was determined to shop around first to make sure I was making an educated decision. I was not only looking for quality, but also a great value. Most importatnly I was looking for someone who would help me find the perfect ring for my fiance and not just try to sell me on any ring. She was a friend throughout the process and also very forgiving of me as I tried to talk as if I actually knew something about rings/diamonds. When Craig and I first talked about commiting, I began searching the web for ring designs and this is where I discovered Dimend Scaasi. Their website is visually stunning and easy to use as well as having the greatest range of designs that I liked anywhere on the web. I made an appointment with Shannon to visit Dimend Scaasi with Craig to look at their extensive collection of ring styles and diamonds.
Shannon and Isaac were amazing - easy going, no pressure and very knowledgeable, allowing us to learn about what was available without feeling threatened by the environment (I'm not a big fan of jewelry stores). We spent an incredible 3 hours that afternoon just relaxing, looking and learning. We didn't commit to a purchase that day and there was never any pressure. Both Shannon and Isaac wanted Craig and I to make whatever decision was best for us. Several weeks later when we did order a ring from Dimend Scaasi we ended up with an amazing solitaire that I will enjoy wearing for the rest of my life. Excellent customer service paired with outstanding workmanship equals happy customers. I would recommend Dimend Scaasi to anyone and I will return for more jewelry when I need it.

If you are looking for a place to get your future fiance's engagement ring, wedding bands, or any jewelry, this is only place you should look into! From reading the other reviews on here, I couldn't resist on seeing what the hype was all about. And from the beginning, everything was true! I set up an appointment with Shannon, and she was great to say the least. She made me feel comfortable with the whole process in getting the perfect engagement ring for my fiance. It was like I was talking to a friend I knew for quite some time. Since I didn't know exactly what i was doing, she explained everything to me and made things very clear. Started looking at rings and diamonds at local jewelers (in Pittsburgh) and at the advice of one of the people helping me..I started looking online. Little did she know I'm a "masterful" researcher and came across Dimend Scaasi.! My friend had recommended Bluenile (which also had a tremendous selection in diamonds). But, in terms of prices...Bluenile couldn't compete with Dimend Scaasi, in my opinion. With GIA certifications, its very easy to do comparrisons, and believe me there is "no" comparrison.
At Dimend Scaasi I had several online chats with both owner, Isaac and one of his teammates, Shannon. They were incredibly forthcoming with information and suggestions within my budget. And their honesty and integrity were quite apparent (even through online discussions). They gained my trust with their dilligence and hard working attitudes and were quick to answer my questions even into the evening hours..! The rock they found for me through their vendor is absolutely brilliant - Ideal cut Asscher..D in Color!!! When I told my local jeweler what I had found online and the price, she simply stated "Congratulations..I could never beat that.." Delivery of the stone was immediate and unbelievably packaged (box..in a box..in a box..in a box..etc.). Rest assured with this company, Dimend Scaasi. You won't find a better one.

The online viewing service and chat ability are real unique and a tremendous resource for out of town shoppers. Since I live in Atlanta that was very very helpful. I would encourage shoppers from outside Chicago to consider this Chicago based firm even if you can't make it to Chitown to physically view there selection. On a more personal note, Shannon was very patient with me, very informative and knowledgable. I Love My Rings!!! I would highly recommend this jewelry store to anyone looking to purchase well above average quality diamonds at a fair price. You could find cheaper products in the mall but you will also find a MUCH less desirable product. Alexa (Lexi) who helped me through this entire process was spectacular! She had great advise and shared her honest and knowledgable opinions with me through out this process. I live in Wa. state so doing this through the internet I originally thought was a little chancy but they were referred to me by a client of mine and once I saw their web site and could chat with them live any time I felt totally comfortable with my decision. Their design ability, customer service, and quality would be hard to beat any where in my opinion. My rings are three seperate bands totalling just over 3 carats and are so spectacular to look at that I can not keep my eyes off them. I was hunting for a Beverly K band and was unsure about ordering from an online site. I found Dimend SCAASI and called. I was greeted warmly by Shannon and was treated extremely well. I almost feel guilty having gone to a place with such an amazing selection & such an obvious ability to create amazing designs and having a solitaire ring made. It's a 4-prong with a tiffany-style no-taper band. It's so simple they didn't even carry it! However, with all the excellent reviews and their service model of the 30-day guarantee & free polishings & resizings for life, it seemed like a great option. I went in back in April and worked with Shannon. I explained that I really wanted to put all the money into a really great diamond, rather than put a couple grand into the band or side stones. She was really great, and I left so excited! In May, my fiance proposed & I couldn't stop staring at the ring for several months (I was a danger behind the wheel). Other places, for the same money or more, showed me stones in an H color or with less than excellent cut , etc. I ended up with an excellent cut (hearts & arrows) that sparkles beautifully & an F color. It's simple & beautiful & classic. I can't wait to get my wedding band there--I already have it picked out!

Dimend Scaasi delivered a ring with obvious surface finish defects, which they claimed could be fixed. They took it for 2 weeks, then hoped we wouldn't notice that NOTHING had been done to it. Then they told us that the ring needed to be re-made, and never should have been given to us in the first place. When they remade the ring, it looked nothing like the original!

We went to great lengths to explain and show very simple concepts to their salesperson Shannon & their jewelers. They were consistently unresponsive and late on all promises, no matter how small or simple. We were told that we?d receive a phone call or pictures "this afternoon" and then wouldn?t hear from them for days. Every delivery was late. They didn?t return phone calls and left us wondering what was happening to our diamond at all times. This went on for FOUR MONTHS.

When the ring was finally finished, we found that it still had some minor defects that needed to be touched up! They apologized again and took the ring back, claiming it would be a very simple fix. They then attempted to tear off and completely replace a large part of the ring-they applied too much heat to the ring and RUINED it completely!

When we asked them to replace what they had ruined, they refused to re-make the ring again and cut us loose instead. They sent us a check for the purchase price of the ring, plus a meager $100 "gift" for the FOUR MONTHS of time that we spent waiting for them to deliver. The "gift" doesn't even cover the amount we spent on parking, to pick up our own property from them!

Their salesperson Shannon is completely clueless, unresponsive and unreliable. The owner Isaac only stepped in to let us know that we had been around for too long, and weren't important enough to work with anymore. Oh, and to defend his company online.

STAY AWAY from Dimend Scaasi. There are plenty of other reputable jewelers in Chicago that will work with you to give you what you're looking for.

Has been a pain.
I wanted my ring set a certain way and even described exactly how I wanted it. I didn't find out till I got it back that it couldn't be set that way. We never even recieved a phone call. In addition, they forgot to put some of the diamonds we paid for in the ring. So it had to be sent back. By this time I just wanted my ring.
To make it worse my ring eventually bent and cracked. They did fix it but it is just another hassle. I was accused of damaging it but barely wear the ring. My band that I did not get from them has NEVER bent and is woren at the same time. I was told by other jewelers that the ring was made too thin and their sodering failed. The people are really nice there but the designers are horrible.

My wife and I ran off and got married so she never got an engagement ring because we were never really engaged. So, since we were married a bit over a year ago I have been on the hunt for a ring. There's just a few things; my wife didn't want a diamond as the center stone, and she's not really one to like something that's really flashy or '80'sish. Needless to say, I've been looking for a long time at tons of different places. My saying everywhere I went was "it needs to look like it fell off the Titanic." Marta and Isaac and Dimend Scaasi were the first ones to make this a reality. I now have an amazing blue sapphire with a majestic looking setting that they made personally for me. Plus, the gave me the option of returning it for store credit even though it was personally made for me, just in case I didn't like it. In the end it was beautiful, she loved it, everyone that sees it loves it and they even said they were going to put the ring on their website as an example of their work. In the end, it's service plus and they are willing to really work with you to give you what you want. You never get a sleazy jeweler feel. This is the only place I will ever shop for jewelry in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with dimend scaasi. Shannon helped me through the entire process and made it fairly easy. I thought I needed to do a ton of research before heading to an actual jeweler, but I think I would have been fine starting with Shannon from scratch. Shannon wasn't afraid to show me the diamonds under a great amount of magnification, and she didn't try to hide any of the problems with any diamonds. She was also very patient as I agonized over which diamond to chose for what probably seemed like an eternity. Isaac and Shannon both explained the pros and cons of each diamond and didn't pressure me at all to chose a more expensive option. The whole experience was very comfortable. I also trusted Shannon when the only sample of the setting I wanted that they had on hand was made for a huge/oddly shaped diamond, but Shannon assured me that she would make sure it ended up looking like what I wanted. The ring turned out great, pretty much exactly what I pictured. Shannon really came through with her promises. I am sure I'll be back when I have other jewelry needs.

never having bought a diamond before, the process was quite daunting. However, Shannon & the rest of the staff at Dimend SCAASI made my experience much easier. Since I found them through City Search/Yelp, I feel obligated to add to their praise

Shannon took plenty of time to show me the subtle differences in the diamond grades and inclusions, etc. I had read about diamonds prior to coming in, but that had only confused me more. I had a much better visit with Shannon then with her/their competitors & didn't feel pressured at all

Further, my finacee had once shown me a style that she liked, which they did not have. Shannon was able to have the ring made to my specifications - and it far exceeded my expectations and got done in my timetable

When I proposed, through the tears, my fiancee exclaimed, "This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!", a phrase she has repeated many times since

I would use them again without hesitation

I found dimend scaasi on a random search on google, i.e, best chicago diamonds or something like that, and my expectations were low until I saw their on line selection. I had been searching everywhere for something that would look that it was one of a kind, and the jared's, the robbin's bros, and all the small mom and pop shops I shopped, did not have the vision and creativity that I saw in their selection. I have spoken with Alexa and Isaac, and they both were great. They were really flexible and understanding with everything: my need to come in three different times to see the actual ring before buying it, an issue my bank had with the wire transfer, and the general financing of the ring. I wish I could find the words to gush about my experience with them because this place is truly one of a kind. Once I received the ring (which took about 8 weeks), it was obvious that it was well worth the wait. The quality and workmanship looks outstanding, and I'm esctatic to be able to give it to my future fiance. Their prices are competitive, but they are amazing coupled with the outstanding product you will receive. I hope no one thinks that this is a fake review, I seriously cannot gush enough about my experience and the actual product itself.

As a younger guy (23), I was pretty intimidated by the whole process of buying an engagement ring. I wanted to surprise my (now) fiancee, but when I realized it would be safer to pick out the diamond myself and then let her pick the setting I did some looking around and decided to try out a few Jeweler's Row places. I ended up going with a diamond from dimend SCAASI and my fiancee (and everyone else who has seen it) absolutely LOVES it.

The thing that really helped me make my decision was the help that Alexa, at dimend SCAASI, provided. Some of the other places I looked at seemed pretty skeptical of me by the fact that I was not referred to them by anyone except the internet. Also, as I mentioned, I was pretty intimidated so I actually started talking to Alexa using the online chat dimend SCAASI offers on their website. I thought this really helped me get comfortable and explain what I wanted without being cut-off or worry about being sold something else. All of my appointments were setup for a Saturday, so I went in there was no one else there except Alexa and she was pretty casual. She had pulled three or four great diamonds (all of which were in or below the price range I had given her) and was perfectly willing to give her opinion when I asked, but didn't try to push any agenda. She was really great and when I am really looking forward to taking my fiancee in in a couple weeks and picking out the setting!

Finally, I want to comment on another review that mentioned the store is pretty minimalistic. I thought this had by far the nicest/cleanest show rooms of any place I saw in Jeweler's Row. They also had a microscope hooked up to a computer screen that they showed me each diamond under. While I am not pretending to have a trained eye, this was definitely better than watching a jeweler look through a handheld one and try to tell me things were or were not present.

This all provided a great experience!

Shopping here was uncomplicated, friendly and fun.

I was intimidated by all the jewelers out there and all the language and specs that go with jewelry. All I wanted was a nice remount for my wedding rings. To complicate my search I had only 2 days to shop in Chicago and only 7 days in the U.S. (I live in Europe). Thanks to the Citysearch site I found 3 jewelers to visit.

dimend SCAASI was my third jeweler. Marta and Shannon casually brought out several boxes of mountings and sat with me while I tried on dozens. They were easy-going, friendly and helpful. I might add they were very patient with someone just buying a mounting. After I found one, Isaac stepped in with his expert advice on how we might customize the mounting.

To my surprise and delight Isaac promised delivery in 7 days. The day before delivery was due I hadn't received an email from Fedex confirming shipment so I left an after-hours message at the office. Within minutes both Isaac and Shannon called and emailed me to reassure me that the ring was on schedule.

I received it the next morning, exactly as ordered and right on time. It was beautifully done.

The only reason I give these nice folks 4 out of 5 stars is that I felt their selection of rings was somewhat limited. For service and expertise they definitely rank 5 stars.

From day one, she spent as much time as we needed searching for the perfect setting and the perfect stone. And she was never ever pushy trying to oversell us something that we didn?t really want. Then, after I decided on a custom setting (go figure? always trying to be different), I was a bit nervous that I might not like the final product once it was made. (I was having a hard time visualizing it plus if you customize it you have to buy it.) I almost didn?t go ahead with my custom setting, but both Alexa and Isaac, the owner, assured me that they weren?t going to make me buy something that I wasn?t truly happy with. What a load off my mind that was! Well, as it turns out, they?ve got genius designers who did an outstanding job on my setting. When I saw my ring for the first time, I was stunned at how gorgeous it turned out. Two months later, I still can?t stop staring at it. I LOVE it! My husband and I purchased a gorgeous diamond eternity band from dimend SCAASI in December. The whole experience was so positive from beginning to end and Shannon was a joy to work with! She had wonderful suggestions on design, was very patient, professional and knowledgeable and there was never any pressure at all. She always kept us informed as the ring was being made and ensured the quality of the final product was up to her very high standards. You can tell that she just wants you to be happy with your purchase no matter what you are spending. The ring itself is spectacular, the diamonds are so brilliant and sparkly I still find myself looking at the ring several times a day. From researching prices of similar rings, dimend SCAASI is very fairly priced (and included an appraisal). I would definitely shop there again and would highly recommend to friends. Although we live in Chicago and were lucky to deal with Shannon in person, the website is fantastic too.

I recently had the most thrilling experience purchasing an engagement ring from dimend SCAASI. I found the perfect ring for my honey through their extensive online catalog. The site was easy to navigate and I was able to find what I wanted very easily and quickly with only a few key words.

I was very impressed because I've been searching for just the right ring for months and had tried some of the very haughty jewelers in Washington, DC, where I live, and in New York City. I had also tried some of the very large online jewelers like Bluenile, but to no avail. I found dimend SCAASI and within minutes I had found the exact ring I wanted for my betrothed.

I heard about Isaac from a good friend of mine and I looked elsewhere first, then finally made the call. It was like one hour till close I made it just in time, they Owner Isaac stayed to well after 8pm to show me diamonds and bands, teaching me and showing me the ropes which was second nature to him. Very personal and helpful, after the lesson I finally made a great choice that I know my future fiance will love. Alexa, Shannon & Marta are great and extremely helpful. I will never buy from anybody else but dimend SCAASI.... I would reccomend him to anybody serious about, buying a quality diamond or ring. Im kicking myself for wasting time with the others. Attention non believers ! I am a New Jersey resident that spent dozens of hours in high end jewelry stores and many more hours on line to find the perfect ( engagement) ring. Since what I wanted didn't exist, it needed to be created.

Starting with the setting, then finding the perfect stone, my whole experience with dimend SCAASI was as flawless as the finished product. The words AMAZING and INCREDIBLE do not do justice to this ring !

Great communication, delivery as promised, all without ever leaving NJ. My fiance was floored by the overwhelming MAGNIFICENCE of her SCAASI ring.

Not only was Tiffany's double the price, but their ring couldn't hold a candle to SCAASI.

Alexa greeted us and instantly she became a trusted friend. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, so she showed me lots of rings and asked me what I did and didn't like about them. She was great at asking questions, listening to what I had to say, and clarifying my preferences. She was easy-going and educated us about the process and the store philosophy. Ultimately, there were 3 elements from 3 diffrent rings that I liked. With ease, Alexa had the lab design me a custom ring incorporating all of the elements. She emailed us images, so that we could make sure they understood, and then I got to try on a wax mold of the ring. However, nothing could prepare me for the moment I saw it for the first time. When my boyfriend got down on one knee and held up the ring, I'll never forget how beautiful it looked. That was 2 weeks ago and I stilll can't stop looking at it. It is perfect. And it fits perfectly. I get compliments everywhere I go. I'm sure that we'll be using dimend SCASSI for all of our future jewelry needs.

After the weeks I spent researching diamonds, rings, and local and online vendors - I definitely feel deserving of an honorary doctorate from the GIA. I came across DS at the last minute, actually - just before I was almost about to purchase from another online vendor.

It became clear that DS had a fantastic selection and very consistent pricing and, importantly, some of the most unique settings of all online vendors. Most of the popular sites clearly contract through a pre-set collection of settings, as any detail-oriented shopper will soon notice. You will begin to think you're seeing the same ring in 8 different places. Not so at Dimend Scaasi. You'll fine some of the most unique settings around at reasonable pricing.

On top of this, their customer service is very personal. I set up my order with Alexa and she had a refreshingly honest discussion with me about my choice of stone and ring, to the point that she steered me away from a slightly smaller, but more expensive stone to a slightly larger less expensive stone that would still be just as beautiful but would provide a more stunning look. That was impressive! As well, she ensured that the ring would arrive weeks ahead of schedule, just in time for the big day.

In the end, the product that arrived is quite like nothing I've ever seen, and I shopped a LOT for my fiance's engagment ring. Dimend Scaasi's selection, quality, and service are as good as shopping in person and better quality. I basically stumbled upon DimendScaasi, and I couln't be happier that I did. I recommend using them to everyone. My wife wanted a cushion cut diamond for her enagement ring, so I shopped around a little and found most jewelers either don't carry those or have a limited selection. I came across DS online, called and talked to Shannon and set up an appointment. I met with Isaac one evening, and he had a great selection of cushion cuts. He and Shannon were very patient and helpful as I narrowed down my choices. Once I had it down to two they actually steered me to the less expensive stone (which really was the better one), so that was nice. When it came to buying our wedding rings, we met with Alexa who was also very helpful and pleasant to work with. My ring is very traditional, so they can do standard rings on top of the custom rings shown on their website. My wife ended up with an eternity band which looks great with the engagement ring. She still gets comments from people she sees everyday. The two most important things to me when it comes to making this recommendation are quality and service. It's clear that Isaac takes pride in his craftsmanship, and as far as I can tell, the construction of her rings is great. Also, the service we received from everyone at DS was great. They were all pleasant to deal with in person, and they were very responsive to phone calls and emails - I think that is a big plus. I don't have any issue recommending DS to everyone, and I know I'll be back for future purchases.

dimend SCASSI provided great service via their patented Innerview viewing system. This system allowed me to setup a session for viewing a diamond online with great lighting and magnification features. I was able to see all of the differences and compare diamonds live before actually purchasing one.

Combine this with great online prices similar to other warehouse distributors, and even better diamonds (check the GIA specs on the warehouse ones compared to the ones SCASSI provides) for a great ring and experience.

The tension rings are the best. They were able to custom design a ring from two other styles and give me CAD rendered results before actually making the ring, all online hundreds of miles away.

It felt like I was working with a local jeweler personally who also happened to have great online prices. Consider SCASSI and compare these prices to your local mall and be prepared to come back to SCASSI.

Almost 2 years ago I began my "journey" with DS. I wanted a unique engagement ring, and they had it. I spent at least an hour on the phone with Alexa. Once I picked the tension set ring (TR-025 PRI set point to point), I had it made and received it and really liked it. Many people commented that it was unique. We then had a wedding band custom made for it, which DS was completely willing to adjust the band several times until we were happy - at no extra charge.

Then, after having a perfect set for about 2 months, my wife & I were in a motorcycle accident and the diamond & rings were chipped/scraped (BUT FYI, the diamond was still set correctly in its tension setting). If you don't have insurance, you NEED it. I got every penny back without a hassle. Isaac & Alexa provided all the necessary letters and explanations about how the rings were not repairable, etc. so that I could get the full amount back for the rings. I did, and then it was like buying a whole new ring. This time, however, we were even more picky & wanted the ring to be perfect. Once again, DS was willing to make, adjust, adjust more, the engagement ring & the wedding band until we were happy, and once again charging no extra for all the extra work. We love the rings & know that we NEVER settled for anything second best. DS was willing to work with us until we were completely satisfied with the rings.

This last paragraph is for the people out there who may not know the difference between different ring shops. I have spoken at length with all of the staff at DS, including Isaac, the owner, and want everyone to know that they ONLY give the best. Isaac is NOT interested in making every penny he can. His #1 goal is to make the customer happy, even to the point of working way more than necessary. His commitment to perfection carries over into everyone you will deal with. If you are concerned with quality, make DS your jeweler. I saw this with my experience and know you will too.

I educated myself before looking for an engagement ring, so when I walked into this jeweler, I thought I knew what I was talking about. Well, they taught me a lot more than I thought I would ever learn, and walked away with an amazing ring in 3 hours. I worked with a young woman named Marta who was very helpful with all my questions and in providing advice. She was patient with me and took the time to make sure I was making a great choice. Their customer service was excellent and they are equipped with good technology to make the process more fun and interesting, and to help get to know your diamond(s) on a personal level. You will know what I mean when you visit. They also have the most unique ring bands that I have ever seen. Their tension collection is amazing. You will not go wrong looking into this place for any type of jewelry. By far the most helpful jeweler out there.

When we worked with Isaac on my engagement ring we got a crash course in diamonds and precious metals. Feeling informed makes a tremendous difference when such a big purchase is at stake, and we got wonderful support without a whiff of the dreaded hard sell. After consulting with a friend about the best place to buy an engegement ring, I was told to go no further than a web-site called Dimend Scassi. I live in Ireland and after reviewing the site I contacted Shannon, who took me through every aspect of purchasing the ring, without ever putting pressure on a sale. I went away with all the information I could ask Shannon, who was good enough to spend 2 hours chatting to me. I looked everywhere for a better deal (as you do), and soon returned to Dimend Scassi hoping the ring I saw hadnt been sold. Shannon scheduled an online demonstration of the ring, and after reviewing it for some time, I made a very easy and painless purchase.

They were happy to ship the ring to Ireland, and delivered on my order very quickly, and I am happy to say my wife to be was stunned............She is very proud to show her ring off, and I really cant belive the deal I got. The ring is excellent quality, and is much nicer than any other I have seen.

If you are looking for a ring, and are not sure buying over the internet is a good option, visit the site and see what they have to offer, you wont find a better dealer anywhere, believe me I tried.

I bought my wedding band from them and the diamonds fell out after 2 months. They refused to fix it and accused me of leading a hard life style. I work from home... not such a hard lifestyle. I bought an engagement ring and wedding band from Isaac. He gave me a great price on a diamond and diamond studded wedding band. One of the small diamonds fell out of the wedding band and he replaced it without any hassles. I live in San Francisco and did all this by phone, email and UPS. I was apprehensive about something as sensitive as a diamond purchase over the internet and such a long distance, but it was worth the risk and my wife and I are very happy with the rings.

But, my girlfriend and I didn't know this and were totally clueless to how downtown jewlery locations function. We walked in and were told them we didn't have an appointment, but even though they were very busy at the time, Issac ushered us into his office and sat down to meet with us for nearly a half hour! I made 3 more trips back down there to get everything together and make up my mind and got the ring/diamond I wanted right in my price range! This is the absolute best place to go for buying jewelry. Besides having great customer service, they have beautiful, quality jewelry. I designed my engagement ring and Shannon was able to track down the exact cut in a yellow diamond in New York and have it overnighted (this was a difficult diamond to find and quite an undertaking). The clarity was flawless and the end design was better than I could've imagined. Plus, Shannon was able to help plan a birthday surprise with my husband being deployed in Iraq. He was able to email what he wanted to buy for me, get it designed, and then she invited me in for a complementary cleaning; all the while I was clueless. To my surprise, I had a dozen pink roses and a new set of earrings to match my wedding ring. The time and thoughtfulness that Shannon went through to make this happen was truly unforgettable. I went shopping for an engagement ring, and after much online research, learning all about diamonds, and trying many different stores (including most of the big retail chains), I ended up traveling to the city (from the burbs) to jewerly row. There I was overwhelmed by all the choices and had a bad experience feeling pressured to buy a lower quality diamond at one of the random stores I visited. Then after reading reviews of Dimend Scaasi on this site, I made an appointment and met with Alexa, one of the stores very friendly and helpful store representatives. I pretty much knew what I wanted from all my research and from their very useful online site. She was patient, helpful, and took the time to understand what I was looking for, and even offered a great customization option (all free) that proved to make the ring I picked out, unique and perfect for what I was looking for. The service was great, the quality of the craftmenship and diamonds all excellent. This store and its staff deserves all the great recognition they are getting! Being that there are so many variables that can change the price of a diamond, it?s extremely confusing!!! But Alexa helped me make the right choice, by asking a few different questions and showing me a few different options. I?ve gone to a few other places before coming here and all those other sales people made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. Here Alexa helped me decide and was never trying to push me to spend more money. The owner even came by talk to me and explained a few things about diamonds. They were able to find me an incredible diamond for what worked in my budget.
I had an idea of the setting that I wanted, but they did not have it, but were able to make it for me. It took a few weeks to be made, but once I saw it, it was worth it. When the ring was shown to me for the first time, I was blown away. It was AWESOME!!! Everyone that has seen, has had nothing but compliments.
I was recommended to this place by a coworker and will be going back to purchase the bands. As well as recommending dimend SCAASI to all my friends for any future jewelry purchases.
My one recommendation to you guys that are looking for an engagement ring?is have an idea of what you are able to spend, and let them take you from there.

The staff at Dimend Scassi was very warm and welcoming. I was shopping for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and this was by far the best experience I had shopping for a ring. Shannon was extremely helpful and patient, which for a first time diamond purchaser, was very important. She was not pushy and really asked a lot of questions. There was a bit of a rush on the order and they were very accomodating. The ring turned out to be more beautiful than I had imagined and my girlfriend, now fiance, loves it!!!

And she didn't just show me one or two rings and tell me what I wanted. Online, Shannon was able to show me different rings from the wide variety of styles they offer from a very vague description of what I thought I wanted. Come on, I am a guy. what do I know about engagement rings?Thanks to Shannon and the people at diamend SCAASI I know a lot more. And best of all, I know where I am shopping for jewlery in the future. I made the daunting purchase of a gelin abachi ring as a suprise engagement ring for my now fiancee based on the designs i saw online compared to that what the jewellry stores in the UK had to offer. No contest in my opinion. Dimend Scaasi offered a great price so i got in touch. I dealt with Shannon, whos customer service was impecable throughout, from photographs of the ring from all angles, to close ups of which diamonds i could choose, and rapid replies to my emails. The ring did require resizing so i would recommend you get the ring sizer sent first if you are ordering online (this would mean, however, any suprise proposals wouldn't be much of a suprise) but again the repair was dealt with efficiently and shipped back to the uk as soon as it was ready.

There was no hard sell involved, they just provide you with all the info you need, then step back and let you make your decision.

i rarely bother to review anything, but i thought that dimend SCAASI deserved commendation for turning the very intimidating engagement ring purchase into a great experience. i agree with a number of other reviewers who said they had gone other places but found Isaac and his staff unbeatable. after frusturation and embarrasment at a number of other diamond dealers, i knew as soon as i entered the store that i wanted to give them by business.

beyond the great service and selection, my sales person actually kept me well under budget. rather than slowly directing toward options that would move me up in price, Shannon actually made recommendations based on subtle distinctions that made my final purchase more affordable. and instead of adding pressure to the final decision, the sales people stepped back and let me think for a moment.

and the store itself is cool and fun. i'll definitely be recommending them to anyone that asks me for help with this really big decision.

After 2 dissappointed experiences on the internet I was reluctant to try again so had a look round lots of high street jewellers and prices were astronomical for the kind of diamond ring I was looking for. Then luckily I happened to find Dimend Scassi on my internet search engine. At first I thought it was too good to be true as it ticked all the boxes for my requirements. The diamond had a GIA cert. the size was right and the price seemed fantastic for the quality of diamond. So I contacted the store and to my surprise was able to view the diamond I had selected with the 'Inner-view' facility. The lady I spoke to - Lexi was fantastic. She answered all my questions and gave me lots of advice. So once more I embarked on purchasing on-line even though I live in England and it seemed an awful long way away if anything should go wrong. I had no need to worry because both Lexi and Issac are A1, 100% fantastic people. I chose my stone, then chose my setting, sent my money promptly and on time my ring arrived and may I say it is above all my expectations and I havn't stopped smiling since. Now I agree everything in America is bigger and better! I must have saved at least a third of the cost even taking the duty into account. If ever I wanted another item of jewellery I would only go to one place Dimend Scassi. I have told Issac and Lexi that I will be their British ambassador and if I can help in any way with any questions then they can give my email address to any other potential customers. Once more may I say to Lexi and Issac you have restored my faith in people, there is some genuine honest people still out there! And my ring is the proof and since wearing it for the past two weeks all my friends have noticed it and said how stunning it is. I cant stop smiling!!!

I am just now getting caught up on everything after our vacation, but I wanted to send you both a note, and especially you, Alexa, and tell you THANK YOU for your hard work, limitless patience, and enthusiasm (as well as keeping me in my budget) in choosing the ring and the center stone for my (at the time) soon to be fiance!! I asked her on the beach in Maui, it was cloudy so we could not see the stars that well, and after the initial shock and disbelief, she did say yes, and then guess what - the sky was perfectly clear!! It was amazing! More importantly, when we arrived back home, she saw her ring for the first time (not ready in time given our vacation dates), and was floored! She said the words that both of you (I think) will enjoy, when she was looking at it later in the day, she just turned to me and said "It's beautiful, and it's perfect - everything that I had wanted!" That was, obviously music to my ears, and it could not have been done without both of you. I also want to mention that I live in Texas, and you put me at ease with buying over the internet. Isaac, you have a wonderful sales person in Alexa!! Again, my sincere thanks for everything, the ring is beautiful!! I will definitely be doing more business with Dimend SCAASI.

I was a very skeptical first time internet buyer and I did the diamond research I began to talk with Shannon. The internet experience was just like walking into the store...she put my mind at ease and peaked my creativity. The package showed up as priomised with some nice "extras"....The thoughtfulness and service was really second to none. As I researched diamond prices via the net I found no other company to be able to compete with the price of the particluar diamond that I wanted...given the specifics...This was the cheapest place to get the best diamond. These guys are great. I was looking for a nice engagement ring for my girlfriend. I looked everywhere, I mean everywhere. I even tried Ebay. Probably the best retail buying experience I've ever had. Dimend Scaasi made my engagement and wedding ring buying experience very enjoyable. Their modern and well-appointed showroom is located in the giant Jewelers Building, and puts all others I visited there to shame. I did extensive research prior to buying my ring and found that they offered very competitive pricing right out of the gate. I didn't have to negotiate down an overly padded price or listen to all of the BS other jewelers shovel to shoppers perceived as naive. Working with the owner, Isaac, was a comforting experience in itself, but I also found him to be very patient and professional. The service level is what you'd expect from a Tiffany's or Bailey, Banks & Biddle with no pretense or condescending attitudes. Their designs are stylistically current and offer much variety. They also sell high quality diamonds, right up to the famous Eight-Star. Isaac was able to meet all of my special design requests, perfectly customizing a ring to match exactly what my fiance envisioned.

I wanted to buy a ring a ring before leaving Chicago for the summer. I cannot say enough about dimend SCAASI. We made an appointment to purchase an engagement ring. The owner took unlimited amounts of time to show us various settings and different stones. I had been saving for about 6 months to get my wife a nice ring for her birthday and for the birth of our twins. I searched numerous websites for the perfect ring. I was very happy to find dimend SCAASI. They have a huge selection of jewelry to choose from and I found their prices to be very competitive. I picked out a five-stone diamond/sapphire ring, asked them to engrave it with my twins' names and substituted blue sapphires for pink ones. I also asked them for this in a very short time period. Not only were they very accommodating to all my requests, they went out of their way to track the shipment after a huge snow storm to ensure that the ring would be ready in time. When my wife received the ring, she was ecstatic. It was exactly as it looked on the website pictures. This ring will be a keepsake that will be passed on to the next generation one day. I've purchased several items from Isaac, some with diamonds and some not. He has a great collection of interesting and modern jewelry, all in really great taste. Isaac definitely takes time to show you everything you wanted to know and more about what you're interested in. You never feel rushed. He is very honest and will not only always sell you quality jewelry but will do it at very competitive price. My wife loves everything I've ever bought her there - now I don't even bring her with when I go, whatever I bring home she loves! It has taken me awhile to get around to writing this review, but I was absolutely thrilled with my experience. My husband and I went together to find a upgrade from original engagement ring. I went into Dimend Scaasi based on the reviews that I saw on this site. I enjoyed my visit, but decided to explore more options in the Chicago area. After going to more than a dozen jewelers both in the diamond district and in the suburbs, I returned to Dimend Scaasi. He just had the best selection and prices, and seemed to be the most honest of the jewelers I visited. I got a beautiful ring and setting, and my fiance and I are both pleased.
Even better then the selection and the prices is the customer service that I receieved at Dimend Scaasi. I was about to embark on a two week trip with my girlfriend, first along the Eastern Seaboard, and then to the beach with her family. I wanted to propose to her on the beach, but the ring wouldn't be ready in time for me to pick it up before I left. (Note: I actually purchased the ring only two days before I was leaving.) So Isaac and his employees contacted the workshop in California where the band is cast and the diamond is set and asked them to hurry my order. They also overnighted the ring, as well as the "goodie bag" (which contained the certificates, cleaners, etc) to my girlfriend's parents house in time for them to bring it down to the beach. Overall, I can't stress enough how wonderful the experience with them was. I am certainly going to patronize them for all my future jewelery needs.

I recently purchased an engagement ring for my fiancée and she loves it! Isaac was very helpful in picking out the ring and diamond and made it exactly how she wanted it. I originally purchased a diamond from him that wasn't at the store but when he received it he wasn't pleased with the quality or sparkle. I imagine any other jeweler would have just put it in the ring and not told me but Isaac had me come in and actually see the difference. Alone, the lower quality diamond looked fine but after seeing it up against the one he reordered to replace it, the difference was night and day. Isaac is honest, will work within your budget and will spend a considerable amount of his time to make sure you get what you want. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

The ring Dimend SCAASI made is absolutely beautiful! I was able to get exactly what I wanted -- no need to settle for something different because thats all they have available in the store. I have never considered making a purchase like this over the internet so I took the ring to a reputable gemologist to have it appraised. I wanted the assurance that I got what I ordered. The appraisal came in higher than the purchase price!

I made a private appointment with Isaac letting him know over e-mail what I was looking for. When I got there, he already had lots of diamonds on the table that were in MY price range. He explained everything and was able to design the ring I wanted, never trying to upsell me or change my mind. It was so professional and relaxing to work with Isaac, and there was no preasure and excellent customer service. I found dimend SCAASI through CitySearch and was so impressed with their site, so I made an appointment and went to check them out. Isaac was incredible. I knew nothing about diamonds, and so in a short time, I was able to discern the difference in diamond qualities. He showed me a large selection of diamonds and explained in great detail all I needed to know. It was really helpful to see diamonds on a large screen TV too! I was appreciative of the way Isaac guided and educated me, unlike the pressure I encountered in other Jewelry establishments. Well, she said yes and there isnt a day that goes by without my fiancee receiving compliments on her stunning ring. I would highly recommend dimend SCAASI to anyone.
