I've been comming to the wildhare since 1991.. I've seen people come and go, the owner Zeleke is a racist Ethiopian club owner... He hates African American's.. He think they are a threat to his club.. I was there recently on Habesha night, he put a sign of $30.00 entry fee to camoflage the true reason why he wanted to keep unwanted and selected individuals out of his club, while most east african and european guest enjoyed their night for half that price..I offered to pay this price then he responded well it's actually a private party, I saw regular paying customer's being turned away as well.. This is not a new problem, this is an ongoing theme with the club owner, he instructs his security to ban selected individuals because of where they are from, or how they look...I have seen people get kicked out for speaking to Ethiopian women that come there to dance and mingle like everyone else, I will not refer this club to anyone..You cannot play god and jury, you cannot stop people from other ethinic backgrounds from interacting with people of your cultural descent.. He has misused his club, he has misused the rasta spirtual movement, people should be aware of this man and his untoleable behavior in the 21st century!!

I like the Wild Hare because people are generally not as aggressive as in other nightspots in the city. You can just relax and enjoy the music, which is often very good. I've been here a few times when they had live bands, and have enjoyed them all.

The Wild Hare is a great place to sit down and have a Red Stripe beer. They offer the best reggae music in the country (I saw Yellowman play there) and are within walking distance of Wrigley Field so you can listen to awesome music after the game.

It's been a long time since i went to Wild Hare. I recently went on a date and we decided to check it out and see how the club has been. last time i was there was like 4-5 yrs! and now that i revisited again, i'm glad i did! me and my date had a great time! they redecorated the place and it looks awesome! Wild Hare never disappointed me. for sure you will have fun no matter what. the people are nice and socialable.to single people you will meet someone and you will dance with someone! no matter if you are shy! music is awesome! live music is incredible! drinks and price are decent.best to go on fri and sat,but take anything besides your car cuz there is no parking whatsoever! even if you do or don't like reggae or dancing, this place is the one to go cuz it will make you like the music and for dancing you can swing at the beat and stil look good!
Pros: good atmosphere! socialable people! great music!
Cons: parking

I have been to this club several times. You are always guaranteed a great time. Does get crowed late at night on Friday and Saturday. Sunday night is my favorite night. There is no parking so take a cab..

My friend and I went on a random Saturday night. The music sounded great, the crowd was so friendly and drinks were nominally priced. Ladies, be ready to be approached by plenty of sociable guys looking to dance and chat you up.
Pros: Crowd, Music

a friend and i happened to stumble across the wild hare one night. we attended a basketball game in chicago and stopped by wrigleyville thinking we would have a few at goose island, when the sounds of live hip-hop drew us in. Four hours, three acts, an emcee battle, and about 10 beers later, we stumbled into the night with very pleasant memories... (every monday is hip-hop night)
Pros: great live music, sweet sound system, good atmosphere
Cons: lack of parking, gets crowded late

I really like this place, but it's very crowded on fri and sat. Parking is horrible, cab it or bus.
Cons: parking
