Unique and fresh produce  5 Star Rating - World class

By A M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,712

It is worth making a special trip to Devon just to go to the produce section of this market. You are guaranteed to find a fruit or vegetable you have never seen before--bitter melon, Indian eggplant, fresh turmeric root. Then make your way to the back and peruse an astonishing selection of bulk spices and grains.

PROS: produce and spice selection, price
CONS:

Cheap!  5 Star Rating - World class

By Danny J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,633

I agree with the other two reviewers, this place is great and cheap. It's right near the loyola campus, so it's a great alternative to Dominicks for students on the north side of campus who dont want to walk too far. All in all this is a good and cheap grocery store that isn't a huge chain store.

Big store with alot of produce  5 Star Rating - World class

By joe s. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,143

I have never seen so many produce in my life. At Devon Market, there are many different types of produce for all types of cooking. The prices are all very cheap and the produce is guaranteed to be fresh and tasty. They also have meat and fish there. One bad thing about it is that there are always long lines.
