I have been to this museum twice and I am planning to go again in a couple of weeks to see an exhibit called "the African Presence in Mexico." There is no charge to enter which is really great! The Staff is friendly and helpful in explaining exhibits. There is a store which offers many items. Go here and learn ablout the spanish culture.

My Spanish class scheduled a visit here, and I'm glad they did. It's small, but nice. I could not believe that entance to this place is free! Donations are accepted though. It's very clean. It's a great place to learn hispanic culture. When you first enter, there are several newspapers (bilingual in english and spanish) that you can take for free. Reading these papers will help anyone who is learning spanish. Next, there is a small store where many different kinds of items can be purchased. Even if you're not learning spanish, this still is a great place to go.

Ratings_icons A rare find, but quite good!

I randomly stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago, and it is simply great! I was highly impressed by all of the great artwork and enjoyed everything I saw. Right now they have a special exhibit on the Day of the Dead, which is a very good exhibit. Everyone who loves art and mexican culture should take a visit here!

I went to this museum during a field trip with my Spanish Class and loved all the art found in here. They have a great Day of the dead exhibit and also paintings from famous Mexican Artists. As you walk through you will appreciate the richness of this culture.

Ratings_icons Outstanding Museum of Mexican Art

Located in the heart of Pilsen, this museum is for art lovers of any breed (and it's not a bad neighborhood for lan accompanying unch or dinner either). Here you will see the artists you have come to associate with great Mexican art--Diego Rivera and Frieda Khalo--and many who deserve to be better known. Check on museum activities, too. They often sponsor special events, such as Del Corazon, a performing arts festival.

PROS: amazing artwork
CONS: when was the last time you were in Pilsen?
