I found this shop and switched my subscription to it on my first visit. 10% off your books regardless of how many or few you get. Free bags & boards. Best service I've had in the chicagoland area bar none.
As mentioned before, great eclectic selection of movies that are cheap. Cheaper than blockbuster. Who'd think they'd find The Brown Bunny in a comic shop? Also has new releases of typical hollywood fare.
Toys: nice prices, all new stuff-no vintage. 10% off toys if you buy the set instead of cherry picking. Diamond previews stuff and marvel legends mainly.
Nice selection of new issues. Back issues are small, but fine. THE STORE IS CLEAN. EVEN THE FIXTURES ARE CLEAN. My wife really really likes that in a comic shop. She could even use the restroom here (not common for her to not be completely grossed out by a comic shop bathroom). Gaming supplies, magic, clix are all there.
Many more features that make you feel good about shopping here. Take a minute to talk w/the staff and they'll make you feel right at home and let you browse to your hearts content.

Brainstorm has a diverse selection of comics, and also a movie selection. Comic and gaming enthusiasts will feel at home here, no pretense, just people who enjoy these interests. Lots of eclectic and downright weird stuff here, which makes this a great place to walk in and browse to see what you can find. Friendly atmosphere, good location, and staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are good, with occasional good sales. Definitely more interesting than your neighborhood chain bookstore - come browse, and find something new.

Being a real geekoid myself, I appreciate the comic selection and the honesty of the staff about recommended new issues. In addition, the videos available for rent are really, really weird. That's so cool! You won't find those videos at Blockbuster.

Very fun comic book store, offers 10% discount to subscribers and free bags and boards. Also rents movies, with an eclectic selection, and has gaming tournaments on the weekends. Fresh back issues come in regularly on consignment.
