All the people who work there are friendly. They give good service. The food is worth the 10-20 minute wait it sometimes takes to get seated, but that's only because the space is not big enough to hold a lot of customers. Seriously, it's tiny compared to other diners I've frequented in Chicago.

I like Cozy Corner very well, but it cannot be denied, the hipsters have descended like locusts on Logan Square and they have commandeered Cozy Corner. As a result, you can't eat breakfast while doing the crossword puzzle on Sunday, you will be shooed out; you also can't request booths without getting at least a little stink-eye. Sux.

On the plus side, the menu is expansive, everything tastes good, and it's all fairly cheap. The best hash-browns in town still belong to Clara & James, but the breakfast food is all solid to great. I haven't had many things from the lunch menu, but I can't imagine it would suck too bad, given the excellent, classic diner breakfast. Nice place, especially if you live in the neighborhood and need to assuage the pain of Max Gerber the sink store closing across the street by stuffing your gullet with some tasty, home-style vittels.

Fortunately the 'Hood is a bit more peaceful then when I first started going here, and you don't have to hear ricochet-ing gunfire anymore! This is my favorite breafast place, and the bone in ham Hungry Man breakfast or one of the pancake choices are the best. It is very inexpensive and excellent home-made style food and not a "greasy spoon" it is a great home-cooking iconic place. I wish they were open 24-7 but they aren't. If you go after 9.30 AM and before 11 AM on a weekend you will have a long-ish wait unless you are willing to sit on a barstool. Waitstaff lovely caring "aunty" types.

I love this place! I eat there every Saturday morning, and sometimes for lunch. Their selection is pretty good for breakfast, GREAT food. The waitresses are very friendly and the food is quick and cooked in sight. The only problem is on the weekends its pretty crowded and they aren't open 24 hours a day,

The first time I went there, I ordered banana nut pancakes. They were so good that I keep returning during my 6:00 a.m. rush before work, preferrably once every other week. I try to order different things every time, but despite how amazing everything tastes, I still can't forget how phenomenal the banana-nut pancakes were. The service is great, too. All the waiters exhibit a southern attitude by calling all their customers "hun". I love this restaurant, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel right at home with a warm homemade breakfast.
