I commute to Chicago from Elmhurst to get my hair styled at this location.
David is the best stylist I have met here, from about 3 years ago. He does exactly as you ask. I always get compliments on my hair.
I had 2 really bad experiences here, but after I found David, I am lucky to have his expertise in his field.

I've had alot of good experience here-everyone is friendly with good cuts. You really aren't rolling the dice that much by letting anyone cut it unless Stacy is working. This girl will get you out of her chair as quickly as possible with a capital "A" attitude. When she "attempted" to trim my sideburns-she wanted me to keep my head straight and with the clippers next to my face tell her to either inch up or down. That was the first and last time I will get within 6 feet of that broad's chair.

If you're like me and a haircut is not a major statement than give your name to the receptionist and enter the cutting lottery. I've had good cuts and I've had not so good cuts but nothing I can't live with for $15. I wish I could recommend a particular person but my experiences even differ with the same "stylist".

PROS: Cheap
CONS: You get what you pay for

I went to SuperCuts and it was a disaster. First she started to cut without putting an apron on me and the hair was falling on my clothes. She also didn't even wet my hair until I asked her to. Finally, I told her that one side was too long and she proceeded to shorten the already too short side!!
I really don't know how (or if) she even passed cosmetology school.
I'm now stuck waiting for my hair to grow out so I can get it done at a real salon.

I do not agree with this due to the fact that I went several times to supercuts and yes they have low prices but they do not cut your hair the way you want to. They do whatever they want to do. Not until I went to Michael Anthony Salon on North ave did I realize what a true hair salon is suppose to do.

Atmosphere was drab, not friendly. Stylists were not very professional looking. some of them had poor attitudes.

I bring my little boy in here and we both get haircuts for about $27 -- yes, that's $27 for two amd it includes a nice $7 tip. It's not fancy, but they are friendly enough and get the job done -- and there's no complaint about cutting a 4-year-old's hair. Plus, it's way fast and usually there's not much of a wait.

Pros: Cheap haircuts

Cons: Parking is tough
