Southport Grace Wellness Center

We moved from Colorado in 2007, and my husband and I have been putting off finding a new chiropractor, but my headaches and his back put an end to our procrastination.

We looked at several places near us, and liked the look of Southport's space and website, plus they have all 5 stars on citysearch and yelp.

We were/are very happy with our choice, even though we both are long-time chiro patients, the doctor took a lot of time to discuss our case with us. His adjustments were great, and he gave me a new exercise to do at work when my shoulders start ro tense up. He also said my husband should be getting more exercise....heh heh.

Hours are fine. Location is nice. Office is really nice. The doctor is sharp and good. I read some complaints about the parking, but it's typical chicago. Uncommon across the street is a nice treat after a relaxing alignment.

A friend recommended Dr. Wolcott to me last year. I needed relief from nagging back pain. My primary care physician said it was 'normal' and that I would have to live with it! I had never seen a chiropractor before and was not sure to expect in terms of experience and pain relief. On my first visit, Dr Wolcott spent a considerable amount of time listening to my story. I visited him twice a week for 3 weeks and my pain was almost completely gone. I have gone back about once a month for maintenance and haven't felt this good in years.

I highly recommend visiting Southport Grace Wellness!

I chose Southport because my son's teacher is a patient and she was raving, and now I can see why. I have been seeing a chiro downtown whom I liked, but was willing to give southport a shot because it is closer to home and I had not been overly impressed with my other guy. After one visit I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Wolcott said that what my other chiro was doing should be helping, so he proceeded to review my daily activities. He then suggested I modify my gym workouts slightly, and suggested a thicker pillow for my sleep posture (side). At no time did he discredit my other chiropractor, or try to sell his services. I stopped using the back extension machine, got a thicker pillow, and came in for approximately five visits for massage and adjustments, and that ended a long struggle with neck and back pain.

So if you are looking for a good chiropractor (or massage therapist), you just found one. 5 stars for Southport and Grace Wellness.

Pros: Great office, great location, great people.

I had a headache and stiff neck day and nite for almost 7 days, I went to emerg room cause I couldnt sleep,they gave me 14 lortab 5mg, and took ear wax out. These procedures did not help. I went to my dentist who said I might be grinding, got a bite guard for sleep, didnt help. Got back to Chicago and saw Dr Wolcott, for 2 appts 2 days in a row, then a third appt in 3 days.The first two included manipulation and acupuncture. When I came back for the third appt, I told him my symptoms were about 95% gone and I felt normal again. I will try to avoid the ER next time, they were quite rough on my ear drums and tried to hold me down with force, when I couldnt stand the pain. That really ticked me off!

We've been going to Southport Grace Wellness for several years. The staff and service are superb (we've used massage therapy and the chiropractic care). I love that it is within walking distance of my kids' school and so many shops and restaurants. They work with my insurance really well, too.

Dr. Wolcott is excellent. My headaches and back pain are gone COMPETELY. The office is very nice and I met the massage therapists and want to try them both. I hightly recommend Dr. Wolcott.
