I have eaten here about 15 times.... They have a cheap take away lunch with lots of food... The lunch buffet is good and fair priced... Dinner is where I would not go back... The staff are the rudest people... They don't smile at all and act as if your doing them a favor... The food is good that is why I go but I don't need the staff for the take away lunch or the buffet...

I am a flight attendant and provide great service and I know this is not great service...

Go for lunch buffet or get the express lunch...

Chicago, it is well understood, is one of the worst big cities for Indian food. New York, L.A., Washington D.C., and London far outshine the lackluster establishments in and around chicago. New Delhi restaurant in Schaumburg is another example of an Indian restaurant that serves the same boring, typical variety of Indian cuisine Chicago has become notorious for. There is nothing new to try at this establishment, and the chef (or more aptly, cook) is hardly an innovator. New Delhi is a redundancy of pathetic Indian restaurants whose cuisine lacks depth and imagination. I sincerely recommend the owners of Delhi restaurant make a trip out to New Delhi (in India) and try Swagath restaurant in Defense Colony. This is indian cuisine executed at its finest- bold, experimental, and refined in balance and flavor, Swagath is what Indian food should taste like. It is indeed sad that Indians in America open up these tired and tasteless joints that are a mockery of the richness and diversity of Indian cuisine, which is respected by the greatest chefs in the world, from Adrian Ferrar to Thomas Keller. And, i might add, that the owner (male) should take a course in hospitality. He rushes you to order, and does not even take the time to answer any questions you might have concerning the menu. The only decent thing on his menu is the methi chicken and th nan- it is good, but far from stellar. This manager/ owner acts as though he is too important to be working in a restaurant, and treats the guests in a very unprofessional way. He needs an education in courtesy and social skills.

Pros: Naan is good

Cons: Rude Owner, Lame Food

The food here is awesome, but they really need to work on their decor, lighting and attitude. Their express lunch is a great idea. In under 5 mins you get great quantity and great food for $6, which I would say is a great deal.

food is just oky - Extremely rude people. They do not know how to smile. The lady almost threw my credit card on the table and passed a loud statement in their language to the shady looking dude collecting plates!! they treat you like a homeless person who come to eat at their family run charity show..

Would never ever go there or recommend this place to anyone!!
