My wife called to have our magic chef oven repaired. The repairman came quickly and determined the oven ignitor system was defective. He said the part would have to be ordered but he had one at home he could fix it with. He wrote a LLoyds ticket for $70.00 for a service call and put on the ticket customer will call if they want it repaired. My wife wrote a check to Lloyds for th $70.00. He then told her he could get the part from home and repair it but will need cash instead of a check. Unfortunately my wife gave him cash for $120.00 for the part and installation (The part lists for less than $60.00. He had a pretty good tax free day of income on top of what Lloyds paid him.... Don't call this company

We have purchased several thousand dollars worth of high-end appliances from Llyod's over a period of 30 years. We have equipped three kitchens in that time - three personal homes. Llyod's moved from West Main to Lebanon Avenue in the Belleville Area and we decided to replace an aging KitchenAid dishwasher which worked fine but was getting worn on the baskets. Since we had purchased many appliances from Llyod's over the years - that is where we went. The salesperson suggested the Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III (Model GU2455XTS) for $630.00 installed. The dishwasher was delivered and installed days later on April 5, 2007 and we wrote the installer a check covering payment in full (Check #1042 for $636.21 - the tax was $36.21). We ran the dishwasher that night and the results were deplorable. Everything in the washer was stained, heavily, with a white residue. We called Lloyd's the next morning and they sent out a service person promptly. They tried to fix it - twice - but it still did not clean even close to satisfactory. At that point, a week after it was installed, we went to Lloyd's and asked for either a different dishwasher or our money back. We were told that all they could do was give us a Whirlpool national service telephone number to call. This was very disappointing since we had purchased Sub-Zero refrigerators, a Thermador gas cook top, the previous KitchenAid dishwasher, etc. from them over the years. We considered ourselves pretty good customers because we always pay cash and had recommended Lloyd's to several other people over the years. We own two homes in this area. Anyway, their answer is that they're a small company and they can't replace or take returns on anything they sell. What a disappointment. On our third visit to seek satisfaction, we noticed there was a sign posted in a corner of their business office that says "ALL SALES FINAL". We're pretty sure that was new because we sure didn't notice it before. Anyway, after eight service calls, two new control boards, two new soap dispensers, having to mix "Glass Plus" with our dish washer soap (which has to be "Cascade Ultimate") and now pre-washing most everything we place into it - it's barely passable. It's been five months since we purchased the dishwasher and the last service call was August 2nd. We are so very sorry we decided to update our dishwasher and basically have been wash a large portion of our dishes by hand since April. I actually thought I was purchasing a product from Lloyd's - not Whirlpool. I actually thought, after more than $10,000 in appliance purchases over the years that if an appliance simply did not work, Lloyd's would exchange, replace, repair the product - or give us our money back. One of the "factory" servicemen (they've been here six times over 4 and a half months) said "you should have bought it from Sears 'cause they have a 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee". I definitely agree. Lloyd's Appliance will be happy to take your money - but then, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. By he way, except for the owner, the employees have been friendly, courteous and apologetic.

Lloyd's has that small town feel to it. It is a local business that is very good at catering to the customer. They have always been very helpful picking out appliances and making sure I am happy. The prices may not be as low as somewhere like Lowe's, but in my opinion the slightly higher cost is worth having someone help me and know what they are doing.

This a great small town store. We have used Lloyds in many of our appliance purchases over the years. They have a wonderful warranty and are aweosome about getting repairs done quickly.

We purchased our first house seven years and purchased all our kitchen appliances from them. Within six months we had to replace our dishwasher they came right out with no hassle and replaced our dishwasher with a brand new one.

A few years later we had to move into a another new home and had to purchase a few more appliances they really worked with us on what we needed and kept us in our budget. Would highly recommend giving Lloyd's a try.

PROS: Friendly eager staff
CONS:
