We just returned from a luncheon in honor of Jerry Gaetano, Sr., which followed his memorial. Spavone's did an outstanding job. The food was delicious from the bread to the limoncello! Unquestionably, Uncle Jerry would have been

A relative suggested that I try Spavone's for my birthday. What a treat!!! I like Italian food and this place sure hit the mark. Authentic, reasonable and plentiful. The kicker was that the owner sings while you eat as do some entertainers in the audience who eat there. They made quite a fuss over my birthday. I can see why this place is a hidden favorite of visting celebs.

Pros: Food , Entertainment, Value

.

This place is the best restaurant value in Chicagoland. The food is great, but the environment is off the charts. Where can you go and have that kind of entertainment table side?
Its worth the drive.

You get huge portions, but the food is americanized. The pasta I had was gressy, and swimming in oil. The atmopshere is boring, but if you like singing, the owner walks around on the weekends with a microphone.

Pros: good service, large menu, good parking

Cons: bad atmopshere, not authentic, over sauced
